Hello everybody, this is my first post. I'm about to build my first pc. Sick of off the shelf rubbish. But I need some advice. I want to get the Lian Li a10b case, and fit a Enermax Galaxy EGA1000EWL psu to it. But I've read that it's a bit of a monster at 220mm deep. Can't find the dimensions of the a10b's psu bay anywhere. Will these two components fit together? Hope someone out there can help. Cheers :)

Sorry I can't tell you if that will work, but Welcome to TBCS!

I would guess no. Looking at this pic (http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/LianLi/PC-A10B/images/lianlipca10b_52.jpg), and using the 120mm fan reference on the PSU, it doesnt look like it can fit two of them. You need some space for the wires too. You could take off that wall in the middle and the nearest drive bay.
Or, since you can fit 2 PSUs, you can get 2 to hit the 1000W that you want.

if you dont mind me asking, why do you need a PSU that big? You gotta light it up brighter then vegas?

hey coyote, I think you're right, thought about removing that wall myself but not sure how it would effect airflow as it's so close to the hd cage. think I might go down the two psu route, but again I've read the 2nd psu tends to over heat, but I guess there should be enough of a gap between the two units. Anyway thanks for taking a look, really appreciate it.
Hey Ichbin, same to you, thanks for getting back. I know it's over kill, but the rig I'm planning to build has the asus striker mobo, a qx6800 cpu, 2x xfx geforce 8800gtx xxx in sli, 2x 150gb raptor hd in raid0, 1x 500gb samsung hd501lj, 2x optical drives. As much cooling as I can cram in, no liquids just yet, don't trust myself. lol. Haven't worked out the exact power consumption yet, but I reckon it'll definately top 850 under stress. So just wanted a clean, reliable source, that would also allow me power my time machine. Also the Enermax has dedicated quad core support, I think? Don't know of any others? If any one does please let me know.
But I think Coyote's right, the twin psu is the best compromise, as I love that case! Thanks for all your thoughts, suggestions.
