all voltages are safe as long as you keep it cool. its the heat that damages the transistors. im on an oldschool mobo and i cant change the chipset voltage so i dunno :?

It depends what your RAM is meant to take. Check on the website. Also, how long as it been running for?

overclocking from a how-to isnt a good idea :D if you follow a step by step guide you dont know what you are really doing and even if the how-to was for the exact same setup, every single piece of hardware is different. having said that, im sure you wont try it again without really knowing whats what. set everything to the default level and reinstall windows if the repair doesnt work.

if i reinstal, does that mean my hard drive will be wipe???? :(

BTW: it wasn't a How- to, more of a general outline of overclocking methods for beginners.

if you reinstall, only the windows folders will be deleted such as my music, my pictures and all that, all the others will stay like program files and your own directories

all that and the emails from outlook express too if they are not backed up. if you need them, copy them to an other hard drive.
