okay ive got an antec 900 stuck in a corner under a bookshelf, i got one output fan on back and one on side, problem was that my 200 mm was drawing back in the hot air, now we couldnt have that could we:twisted:

i already had attached the sid one by the time i got the camera so here it is, and yes thats orange duct tapehttp://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/azminisk8r/bf2142/005.jpg

okay that one i used a paper funnel since the tubing was for 80 and mine were 120, for the back one i didnt have that much space so i gutted a broken fan and duct taped on the ventn so it was air sealed

of course since its me, its too short from the back so it needs an extension

needed some way to hold the tape pieces when i had my head in back of the comphttp://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/azminisk8r/bf2142/019.jpg

all tubes up and runninghttp://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/azminisk8r/bf2142/021.jpg

of course the side fan wasnt strong wenough so it needed another fan to helphttp://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/azminisk8r/bf2142/011.jpg

powered via batteryhttp://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j286/azminisk8r/bf2142/013.jpg

actually that was next, i got an a/c vent above my head and was thinking to run it down to my 200mm, i figure if it tries to keep my house at 70 then what will it do to my cooling, plus i can add a few more fans along the framework

edit

Where are you?

In the uk try cpc (www.cpc.co.uk) for the ducting but fans bigger than 120mm I can't find.

My suggestion would be a DIY store or friendly plumber for the 200mm air ducts - ventilation type ones would do nicely. As for a fan - What do you need it for? If you were serious about hooking it up to the a/c (cool idea if you do) then set the a/c to blow and your problems will be solved. Well the fan ones anyway...

If you really need a fan that size and can't find one try a cheap desk fan or small extractor or the blower from an old vacuum cleaner. The latter two would come ready for hooking up to the ducting, more or less. The former would require creativity. All would be noisy (but then so is AC). You can get silencers for extractor fans but I've never seen one and don't know how good they are (they're normally used for hydrophonics but are widely availible online and could be put to a decent use....)

Still its an interesting idea.

Hope thats of some help.

200mm Antec "Big Boy" Case Fan (http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=327&products_id=21358&zenid=2155dcc346abd92aa08aad360b36d888)

Here is a 265mm fan. (http://www.frozencpu.com/products/2571/fan-88/FrozenCPU_172x150mm_Fan_b265_CFMb.html?tl=g36&id=robGTIH6) :)

Here is 250mm fans. (http://www.frozencpu.com/cat/l3/g36/c15/s566/list/p1/Fans-Case_Fans-250mm_x_30mm_LED_Fans-Page1.html?id=robGTIH6)

and...isn't this (http://www.buildingindex.com/press/0407/ult_250407.htm) what you are doing, but for A LOT less?

I think you are going to have to go 120mm or 250mm. I think other then the 900 case fan of 200mm, its not common and if you do find it will probably be pricey.

Venting and duct tape from around the house? Nice, I bet the dryer doesn't vent out of the house anymore? lol Cool idea though.

very creative. :D

BTW, I 'store' tape by sticking it to myself as well. I've lost eyebrows that way... :hurt:
