A few weeks back in this thread (http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6107), I queried on how best to paint onto the inside of a window to get the best results.

After spending a small fortune on pretty decent hobby knives, spray cans and the like, I managed to get a decent lettering effect. My IGN has been "F_A_F" for about the past 8 years. It seemed that if I ever end up at a LAN trying to find a black case in a sea of other black cases, I might as well personalise it using my own tag

As for the rest of the look, to be honest I didn't want anything too gaudy because (a) I'm a quiet person and (b) there's no way in hell I could compete with some of the truly artistic types that frequent this website!

Out of interest, all I did to make up the stencil was find a decent font; "Manchester", load it up into boring old MSPaint, edit down the large text into an outline, print it onto an A4 sized mailing label, then cut it out. After a total of 2 hours worth of spraying over 2 days, plus 20 or so layers of paint, the effect is sharp and well covered. Next task is to finish the sleeving on the rest of the wires and get some decent lighting sorted. It's only now that the window is fitted that I realise my cooling kit is very, very ugly so it's off to Overclockers.co.uk this weekend to get some much prettier fans and sinks :smoker:

Oh and as a brief aside, the reason that there's a bright red SATA lead going up to the 5.25 bays is because yesterday my SATA DVD drive finally came, and it's like an epiphany....my first ever entirely non-IDE PC.....it's amazing to not be forced into routing unsightly IDE cables in a case. I highly recommend a new SATA DVD drive to eveyone :D
