Welcome to TBCS!
I've moved your thread here.

You could possibly mod that onto the front of an existing case with a little bondo work.

What dimensions is it?

Welcome to the forums!

That's a pretty cool find. But, I don't think you want to use polyester. That's a type of fabric :D. Polystyrene is maybe what you were thinking? I'd probably just use plexiglass and Bondo for that type of work.

sand alll the paint offa it. And like the others said, use bondo.

i like the design last picture design idea, cept....flip it 180 degrees so the fans point downward. Less you want a little airconditioning while your gamin.

Here are some pics, to compare with an standart case:
It would be more beautiful if the whole case was in the same round shape.

If you want the whole case to be the same shape, you could build the sides up to match by building a frame and then using fiberglass.

Yes, i was thinking the same, does anyone have an idee how to make a frame?

Do the sides of your case come off, or is it one piece, including the top?

What you could do is use foam to build your template. Cut a hole in the foam the size of your case, so it fits over the top. Then, align your new case front on the front of your case, with a bit over the top. This will let you build your mod in one piece. Now, trace the outline of your new case front on the foam. Flip the foam to show the back part on the front, and do the same. Now you know how far you need to cut to get it to the right shape. Remember when you are cutting it, to keep fitting it on top with the front of your case, to make sure it looks good.
It's important to get it as smooth as possible so any low and high spots don't show up so much in the fiberglass. After you are satisfied with the shape, cover the foam with tape to protect the foam and then fiberglass it.
What you can do for the front of the case is keep the origional front, but mount the new one to it, and cut a door on the front for the drives. The buttons I would move to the front of the new case, though. Let me know if this is confusing for you, as I'm at work at the moment. I can sit down and draw a diagram and lay it out a bit better for you if needed. Just let me know.

EDIT -
One benefit of making it a one-piece is you don't have to attach it to your new case, and if you need to get to the inside, all you have to do is lift it up. Oh, and I would flip your new case front over and have the fans on the bottom. Just my personal preference.:p

The foam will be your template. You will build the template and then lay the fiberglass with the epoxy over it to make the actual shell. There are a few mods that I have seen people do that use fiberglass and might give you an idea. There are different ways to lay fiberglass, using different mattings. You can google it and find tons of information on it. I'll see if I can't get something good for you to follow later on tonight after I get home.
