As many of you know I'm putting a new PC together for my office that will replace my Matrix case. So I was thinking, maybe I should give it away??

Oh man, I would LOVE that case. And I'd be up for paying shipping costs plus maybe a little extra if you wanted.

That'd make a BITCHIN' media server. Oh yeah.

I third the motion for another modder's challenge.

I haven't gotten to partake in one, and it would be fun to be in said modder's challenge.

Make up your own contest. Not neccesarly a modders challenge, but a brew of your own.

just an idea. Sweet case though.

We haven't currently got a Prize for modder's challenge 4. I was in talks with cooler master about arranging a nice big goodie bag for us, and the problem with the Matrix case is, well...shipping.

The case we have has $100 shipping budget, and that only covers to...I think Airbozo said American, Canada, Some areas in South America, UK, and Mainland Europe. We were thinking about trying to get an international friendly prize for Mod Challenge 4-like vouchers or something.

But the Matrix Case...dude, it's the Matrix case! It's an amazing mod. +Rep for even thinking about giving it away on the boards. :)

Airbozo might step in with some ideas, he's got a good head for things like this. :D

To bad we all don't live close together we could round up some "Chics" and do a wet t-Shirt contest. :D

Perhaps a raffle, TGS?

That'd be cool. A bunch of people sign up and somebody makes a program to randomly pick one. That way skills and whatnot play no part in the chance of winning it.

Lol...you know you're a geek when you suggest writing a program to generate a single random number.

-Dave

Well that'd be the fairest way. People are biased, programs aren't (unless they're programmed to be).

That what we do. Sign up, you get a number based on when you signed up, after all the people who want to partake in it do, you insert the variable range and then get your winner.

Or just write numbers down, put them in a hat and draw one out.

Omega

I still say that a program would be better, but yeah, paper in a hat is probably the simplest.

I like that random number program idea. lol

But my vote goes for Modders Challenge.

or Charity. Its always nice to be nice. But you wouldn't know if the person would respect it or truly appreciate it or not.

The computer scientist in me yearns to point out that there is no mathematical equation that results in a random number, and likewise, computers can only determine pseudo-random numbers. There's a whole field of research into this, particularly in AI.

...So i might be able if I had the right resouces to determine what number would be chosen?

if you write a program to randomise a number, you can normally guess what it will select, i've done this at uni

That's not what we're doing. I do have a contest idea that involves WORK. Let me finalize some ideas and I'll get one going.
