That is an additional computer. It plugs into PCI X(64bit).
The idea here is that on top of your server mobo, you have multiple machines inside of a single box.
Works great for LAN party game servers. It is effectively a pci computer.

This card wouldn't work in a normal off the shelf motherboard. If you plugged one of these into your LanParty Deluxe it would plum freak out!! These are meant for Backplanes. I used to build literally hundreds of systems of this type when I worked for Boston Communications as a tech. The card fits onto a backplane (EXAMPLE (http://www.orbitmicro.com/global/backplanes-c-1_2.html?osCsid=10dc32d4eff18f0393a8138db512b7b2)) along with any other expansion cards. The benefit is being able to replace the motherboard, cpu, and ram very quickly compared to traditional motherboards. Just open the case, pop the card out and replace it. So for high availablity situations you can minimize downtime. They are normally used in a rackmount chasis, but as we know you can mod anything to fit :D
