Here is a funny article on a site that is no longer up (thats why I linked the archive);

At one time it was world famous and was written up in magazines and newspapers worldwide. I love reading through some of the email. I used to have that page as my home page while it was still being updated.
despite what people say, VOLVO are GREAT cars, if you speak to any volvo owner (ME) they will tell you how nice they are, and how much GRUNT they have.

i drive a volvo too. its a nice s70 turbo, but its also been kept in really good condition. it honestly feels like way more than 190 horsepower, because i can get that thing moving pretty quick. it handles pretty good too. out of all the cars ive driven, i like it the most. that should change once im allowed to drive the corvette though.
the volvos just seem like tamed POWER, its there, just you got to know how to get to it.
people go on about ohhh V6 that, v10 this v12 the other.
Volvo t5, Uses-----"Inline5"
infact, all volvo cars use an inline5 of someform, the only other one is the XC90 that offers a V6 instead of a inline
Ford ST's use----"Volvo Inline5"
Orgional Land Rover used---"Inline6"

Yeah 80% of the time it is the driver. Just funny that everyone "perceives" the Volvo as being slow and under powered. Drive one and see for yourself. I laughed at one of my old bosses when he told me he was getting a Volvo until he took me for a ride in it.
240Z through the 280Z's used an inline6
original Land Cruisers used an inline6
The inline 6 is one of THE toughest motors built. "." Many moons ago I had a run in with a drug dealer in my 'hood. Long story short (and it IS long), the guy ended up doing prison time (still there) but not before he dumped a couple of quarts of sand blasting beads into my oil compartment. The truck made it 12 miles before the engine seized up.

... I think I'd enjoy that story.
Don't much about cars (though I don't really care either..) If it takes me from Point A to Point B in a relatively short amount of time, it's a nice car.
Also, what's the point of the list? Did I miss an explanation? Is it just there for fun?

A list of some of the nicest cars you're gunna get for under 5grand. Before I buy stuff, I like to research and make lists so I figured I'd share and possibly save someone some time if they just so happened to be on a budget and looking for the best bang-for-the-buck gas saver WITH decent horsepower/exterior and interior appeal.

Oh my FairLady Z, what a car! I would avoid the 2+2 though, they are no good for holding anything, maybe 1 shopping bag. Its also extended a bit which makes it look like crap.
If ever purchasing a Fairlady Z here are some things to take note of.
Only the ZX models are Fairlady Z's. The Z series cars are not.
86-90 models have the Super HICAS 4 wheel steering option.
Z31 non-turbo 165Hp 174 ft-lb
Z31 single turbo 205hp 227 ft-lb
Z32 non-turbo 222Hp 198 ft-lb
Z32 twin turbo 300hp 233 ft-lb
Z31 from 86-90 (old body style)
Z32 from 89-00 (new body style)
True to its heritage, the race-only 300ZX cars had several notable victories, including the 1986 Trans Am series and the 1994 24 Hours of Daytona. However, auto sports politics and a controversial GTS-1 class win at the 24 Hours of LeMans that same year[7] prompted the International Motor Sports Association to declare the twin turbo engine illegal for future competition.[8] The 300ZX also holds the E/BMS land speed record of 419.84 km/h (260.87 mph) from the 1991 Bonneville Speed Trial.
The SOHC VG30ET was making upwards of 1000 hp, with a power band that extended from 4000 to 9000 rpm on a single turbo
The Z32 300ZX Turbo was on Car and Driver magazine's annual Ten Best list every year it was available in North America, from 1990 through 1996
Motor Trend magazine's Import Car of the Year for 1990
From the year it was introduced, the Z32 has also won many comparison tests against similar sports cars such as the Mitsubishi 3000GT/Dodge Stealth, Mazda RX-7, Chevrolet Corvette, Toyota Supra, Dodge Viper, and the Porsche 968

Im a huge Z-ZX fan!
