Maybe I could even mak it so I have to swipe a card and enter a PIN for it to turn on.

For the swipe card, you could open the box and remove the magnetic reader, and put in a simple "momentary switch/button" so that when you swipe any card, you oculd make something "activate", like the keyboard lights (if you decide to put lights in the keyboard :))

Or he could get some equipment to use swipe cards, like what hotels use for rooms.

Use it for the Modder's Challenge?

The challenge has to be based around a certain case.

The rules direct you to mod the case in such a way that it is still recognizeable as the X-Pleasure, doesn't say it can't be combined with an ATM or any other creative solutions. Tell you the truth that thing is pretty damn vandal-proof as is!
