So I recently bought a Philips DVD player with DivX playback so I could watch some divX videos from my computer on my LCD TV. The resolution of my TV is 1366x768. The resolution of the video file is 1280x720.
When I went to test it in the DVD player it said resolution not supported. I could hear the audio fine. I thought that as long as the resolution was under what my TV was it would play just fine. Does the resolution have to match my TV's exactly?
If it does is there any way I could re-encode it without loosing much video quality?
