So I have a cool fan controller in my case, it controls up to four things, and is sound sensitive as well. The controller itself came with the adapters to connect the lights to 3-pin fan connections... here is a picture.

Everyone's seen the 3 pin, here is just a 3 pin cable.

Here is the box that cold cathodes hook into:

Next, here is the lighting hookup, here is a button that would give power to the cold cathode box.

Normally it goes: power button, wires -> box, then these wires -> cold cathodes.

As mentioned before my controller panel came with the adapter so that the power came from a fan switch. If anyone knows where I can get more of these pleeease let me know!! I want to control individual parts of sound so that when listening to music I can have the really heavy bass display some color lights, and another light for the softer beats.

I know that to get this affect perfectly I should just buy 2 more controller cards so that I can have each speaker I/O monitored, to grab every sound, and to be able to control it easily... but my case is too good to me for me to turn around and clutter it up with all that nonsense.

I think your post was a bit too ambiguous.

I'll check back when it's not 3:30AM, though.

Okay, I'll try to get pictures of my actual situation posted up here, pics of the exact cable. The title might be vague, but I thought the explanation was nice and clear.

I'm looking for the cable that connects a cold cathode box, to a fan power outlet, either one on a mobo, or fan controller etc.

i think i get what you're trying to ask... but if you want to make a sound level indicator for different bands (bass - medium - highs...), then you need something like a led VU meter.. but instead of using leds, u use the signal they receive to drive relays or transistors to switch the cathodes on and off... if you would use several sound sensitive cathode kits you would end up with the same effect, but the sound sensitive circuitry would take quite some room... u could improvise something though... well... i don't know how to explain.. u need several voltage followers (unitary gain amplifiers.. just some small op amps, designed for audio use, in a specific configuration.. they have one of their inputs(-) linked to the output, and so they don't affect the signal path) to take the signal from the sound board and then feed it through several band-pass filters (again, made from op amps.. download winisd beta for nice active filters.. read through the help files and ask questions if it's unclear), which then allow only a portion of the sound to pass... this is gonna be taken as the signal for the relays/transistors (needs to be enough to fully open them) to open and close and allow current to flow to the inverters.. and there you have it!
I want to control individual parts of sound so that when listening to music I can have the really heavy bass display some color lights, and another light for the softer beats. you just have to tweak the electronics.. or maybe something else?
