Nope.

I wish I had the beta... Didn't even know it was out or anything...

Aah ok.

Basicly all I can say about QW from first impressions is, don't be fooled by the title, this is NOT a 'war' game. It is not a tactical battlefield type game. Instead it is more like a shoot-em-up run at the enemy and jump about firing game. It plays about the same speed as any tournament game like quake or unreal tournament.

Definately not what I was expecting.

WOW, I wasn't expecting that either! I got the impression that it was tactical and stresses teamwork. I didn't think that the pace would be like Unreal Tournament. From reading all the articles online, I thought that it would be more like Battlefield 2 since people said that they were trying to release a game to compete with it.

Keep us updated if you can. I wish I was accepted to beta test it.

It plays like UT crossed with Quake 3.
I'm sure that in a clan v clan match it would be much more tactical and about teamwork, but for the past week I've never seen the objective side of it taken seriously. Perhaps that will change after the beta... If anyone here beta tested HL2:DM they will remember that the first few weeks were mainly used for playing 'Barrel tennis' with the gravity guns :D My point being that people need to settle into the game and get used to the gameplay before it can play like it is designed to.

Personaly however, I can't see any chance of this becoming a rival of the battlefield franchise.

man... i was hoping for a more battlefield-esque experience.

how are the personal mission type things working out? i realize that most people are not taking the objective parts into account, but can you give any details on those missions? how they are set up, examples of what you have to do, rewards?

You basicly have to construct, destroy, hack, or capture objectives. You also have objectives like escorting special vehicles and keeping them alive :P

thanks for the heads up on the debate "Is it tom clancy? or is it serious sam" lol.

seriously, i might have to re-consider pre-ordering (im going to buy it) because im not THAT into shoot-em-ups.

As I've said I can't post photos. It is against the user agreement and I would be banned if I did.
