Tapping Acrylic

I want to make a custom acrylic reservoir, but I'm not sure how to tap the acrylic. Basically I want to thread a hole so that I can screw a barb into it. Does anyone know how to do this?

Get a tap and die set. They have bits and handles that you use to tap stuff with.
