Just to start out I would like to say hi to everyone out there. New to the forums , well really any forum. I was tooling around with the idea of a NES case when I came across TBCS. But the idea keeps growing and growing and I think I have settles on an idea and will post it here.
My case involves 3 Classics NES consoles cut and put together to create an approx 12 inch tall tower. Hopefully it will look halfway good when its done. I have a SketchUp of it, let me know what you think.

(Just hope everything shows up right, I'm a computer hardware guy, software and I don't get along)

I think this is a cool idea, and it could look really good.
That being said, I'm a little bit sad that 3 more NES's will die to build this case. :(
Make me proud. ;)

Don't fear, I have 1 case right now and trying to put my hands on 2 more at the moment, so they have some repreve. But I have been (much to the annoyance of my wife) very insistent on finding completely dead units that don't even power on.

Love this old Nintendo stuff. Nice idea so far. But one question about the white thing in the sketch. Is it just to show some size or do you want to use it to hold the three NES together, like a stand? Personally I think just the three NES standing in a room completely free ( without noticeable attachment to each other) would be just nice.

the white thing in the picture, for got to take it out, is suppose to be the mobo tray and back panel. you really can't tell but it going to be on I think 2 of those very small drawer slides so I can just in clip the back and pull it out. All of it will be painted a flat black so when you look at the case you really can't see it unless you turn it around.
I figured I'd use a Micro-ATX board hence the extension because you could really say I'm not familiar really with the Micro-ITX boards. This is going to be my primary Gaming systems so I wanted something I was familiar with for my first major mod.
