View Full Version : Question about power cords
Hey all, just found this site today and am impressed, great site. Anyways down to business. I got a surplussed computer from the local highschool, its a cheap little thing thats made only for internet use. It has no hard drive and no power cords for one either. It does, however, have a floppy type power cable. I have been looking at cable sites trying to find some kind of adapter so I can power a hard drive, but so far no luck. There are Hard drive to floppy Y cables, but nothing the other way around. If anyone knows where I can find something that will work, please let me know.
Thanks

Couldn't you just get a molex splitter, and split the hdd and the cd rom?
I've looked all over, I can't find one. I think it would be a male floppy to a female 4-pin, but they only have male 4-pin to female floppy. Thanks
maybe showing us a pic of what you have to work with would help

If its what I think you have. The Small Molex plug and not standed HDD/CDROM type power plug. Is the plug that is comming out a 3 pin or 4 pin ??
here is a 3 pin to 4 http://www.xoxide.com/bluvre3to4pi.html
if its a 4 pin you can get that as well but cut one end off and soder the ends together (Matching color for color)
