Hey guys i just got a logisys clear blue case and im looking to mod. I have already put in an extra antec fan with built in LEDs but im looking for some new lighting. I really want one of those neon blue lights[My case is clear blue] but would i have to turn it on manually or can i make it so when i turn on my case it turns on with it? Thanks!

i've never used/had/seen Cold Cathode Fluorescent Tubes before but if there was a switch on it you can just leave that on so when you turn the computer on they would come on aswell. i see no problem with it be able to do what you want.

i was thinking about getting some myself but i read somewhere they like to blow up and screw up your computer. i'm not sure if that was a fluke or what but for now i'm gonna stay away from them. that and i don't have my own pc to fully customize yet.

here is some ccfl that respond to music

i can get them from a local store but they only have green, i want blue.

It wasn't actually the CCFL that caught fire but it was the inverter for it.

Ok so i dont really have to worry. I just want a solid light light no flashing.

I don't think you understand, the inverter is not what make's CCFLs flash; the inverter takes the 12v DC and turns it into what it needs (high voltage AC?).
If you have a low quality inverter, you probably have a better chance of it catching on fire. Still, this doesn't happen very often.

If you want an alternative, you could use LEDs

The chance this would happen is very small as long as you case is well ventilated. Also it would only start an electrical fire so the moment you smell burning plastic shut down your machine. I doub't unless it spreads to the mobo that your computer would be harmed.
