Case Mod Themes

I figured it would be a good Idea to start a Case Mod Theme Ideas.

So if you want to do a case mod, but have no idea of what direction you want to go, and could use a Idea for a Theme. . .

Here are a few Ideas.

i like the command and conquer and starcraft themes, might start one on that, i skateboard alot but i dont see how that would make a good case (but you never know, it could be awesome) but im busy with a built from scratch halo 3 case and a lian li case called twilight for crazypc

Sure you could, Put some trucks on the bottom . .maybee a tech deck on the front of the cdrom drive :D

true, you could grab some blank decks for 30 and some pro decks like plan b dgk and a few others for around 50,m trucks about 40 a pair

ima building a custom halo 3 case atm right now, any ideas would be great, i got it pretty much done in my mind though, so here are a few more ideas

any food item (coke, oreo anything) isnt really casemod idea material but you never know...

Have you seen the Halo 3 preview with that Forerunner structure opening?
(If not, view my profile picture i.e. click my name) That might be something you could use, either as a picture on the side or etched in plexiglass

A case that looks like a Pelican or Warthog would be great too.

that pic from halo 2 (after you board the scarab) the last mission where its somewhat spherical and has those thin tall wall things is what im making (ill find a pic somewhere) with the loading screen (the gear spnning thing) on one side spinning with a servo and probally that halo 3 opening cut into the other side, with the halo laser firing upwards (like in the game, you dont interact with it but the huge blue laser)

I think a Halo theme would be awesome! With the exception of some paint on a 360, I haven't seen ANYONE with a Halo mod yet.

I am thinking of some sort of I,Robot theme where the brain of the robots (that spherical metal ball with the intricate pattern) would have little lights that zip along the paths as if it was "thinking", and more would occur when your computer is under a heavier load.

not really. More of just a box but every opening has a door or panel that covers everyting up. then when you turn it on it somewhat transforms into a computer. -Like I said, still in design phase.

or a car case... i see a nos bottle on top, a rim for the side panel and big rims for wheels and leds for the special undercar glow :D

well i had an idea to run a pc inside of a water cooled case and i was told and later realized it wouldn't work. the only way it would work is if you had it completey sealed with some kind of moisture control.

How about a zepplin or a blimp mod. It could float above your desk with all the wires hanging down. It might take a lot of helium to lift up a computer though. You might need a blimp the size of a small car to do the trick.

Like a Airplane, or Car and you cut the model in half or kaddie corner

The Nightmare before Christmas

All research that I have done for ideas has shown that no one has publicly done a nightmare before christmas case.

a Model of a Car,Truck, Plane, Train embedded in the computer case.
You could cut in in half or at an angle for a cool effect.

Then you draw up some vinyl graphics and have them cut. .
For some designs on the sides. If i'm not mistaken you can get a broken glass effect vinyl. Kinda like the baseball in the car window thing.

For a preddy sweet casemod in a relatively short amount of time.

So, this thread hasn't been looked at in a while. When it comes to having an idea based on a video game such as Halo or Metroid Prime, and even when reading reviews of the games, they(whoever 'they' are) post screenshots of gameplay. How does one take a screenshot of a game scene? Software and the like. I am referencing to using Metroid Prime on the Wii.
