I mean as an upgrade from the crap I have... I mean for $45 you can't go too wrong for a gig... I'd like 2gb, but that's what's on sale atm... yay specials!

Wow has the price of RAM gone down. You ever notice how much it fluctuates? I guess this is one of it's low points. Or maybe its because DDR3 is coming out really soon...

Yeah, I know... I payed like $120 for the 1gb I have now, and it's DDR400 and can't be run in dual channel... that's why the RAM up there looks a lotbetter, lol...

Mushkin (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16820146677) I bought those in Feb. for 360.....WTF!?!? They are the ones on the top of that list....I have the review from "Computerguy07". They are awesome. Only 1 bad review and probably because he did look at the motherboards supported memory. I did, these weren't on there but bought them anyways and don't regret it!

wow 200 more than it is now. you shoulda waited and bought 2 sets.. but who knew.

did you have the problem with the heat spreader like the other guy?

Great Ram, terrible heatsink

Pros: Fast, does what it's supposed to, good price.

Cons: HEATSINK HEATSINK HEATSINK... The heatsink isn't fastened to the actually memory chip like most of the other ram with heatspreaders are. On both my sticks when inserting the ram into the Dimm the spreader was sliding all over the place and i'm sure this isn't great for the ram itself and the cooling properties of the spreader.

Other Thoughts: I'm a huge Mushkin fan and it's too bad that this great ram gets tainted by a poor heatspreader.

I personally think he is exaggerating that quite a bit but yes they are not "glued" to the chips, they can slide off. When I installed them I didn't have any issues like they did. If you hold the chip where the pins are, you can slide the heatspreader, but it wasn't loose or anything, if felt like it had a pretty good grip on it.
