I have a Alienware style case that i would like to paint (its bright yellow, and its abit garish, plus i think i can make it look really nice with a lick of paint and an lcd in the door) But i cannot dissemble it, the screws are in positions whereby its litterally impossible to get the screw driver in to remove the plastic areas. Should i paint the case when its assembled or persevere?

thanks for your help.

try to get it open, but if you truely cant, cover ALL the holes, fans, anything, and try to use an airbrush if you have one. use masking tape and cover drive bays and everything, cd drives, usb slots, the whole works

Is it riveted? You should be able to pull the front panel off.
What kind of case is it exactly? Got a Picture of it?

The case is an unbranded Alienware copy, i know its sad but i just love the design of the case. the front is screwed into the chassis, but the screws to remove it are too close to the CDrom and Floppy bays to allow me to unscrew them.

I'd say: depend on the quality of the job you wanna do. If you dont resally care, cover up the part you dont want to disassemble. If you want a first quality painting: disassemble it all :)

as been said earlieer: post some pic, so we can help better :)

Have a try with a ratchet screwdriver.
