Short vacation in Carmel for the Sis-in-laws wedding, then off to Bath for a couple of days to attend the blessing, then a drive through southern Scotland where Dave and I have a couple of all nighters planned...
Once back in the states we are heading up the California coast to Russian Gulch for some camping and abalone diving. That should get me partially through summer...
Now how about those winter Board Meetings?

I'm probably gonna be making a couple road trips, about maybe 3000 miles total, one to New York and back to visit relatives, and the other to Omaha, NE and back, to visit friends and a little family. We're gonna be driving because our company car's gas is paid for by the company. ^_^

Is there anyone that lives near Middletown, NY or Omaha, NE that I could visit or meet somewhere?

I spend the whole summer on Catalina Island off of California, as a camp counselor.

What did you do when the fires hit? What part of the Island were you on?

BTW: I got married on Catalina Island up on top of the hill by the cross.

The Mrs and I are thinking Glacier National Park the weekend after the 4th of July. Make that our nice little honeymoon getaway.

Or maybe Yellowstone.

Wife and I (and now Baby Joshua) will be going to Saskatchewan in August for my little sisters wedding! Ah yes, the excitement of Regina!

But seriously, that's really the extent of our vacation time this summer.. we might get to go camping in late July if we are lucky.. otherwise we are just saving up for our trip to Vancouver island next summer. 3 weeks on the island.. *drool*. :D

Working, nothing but work. Trying to get into a computer shop called BDT Customs. Everything they do, I have done already. I'm well overqualified for the job. Hopefully a hell of a better pay. I'm planning on doing a lot of overtime too, if I get into this place.

I haven't left yet, but we are in cherry cove on the north east side of the island. The grounds ranger told us nothing was burned up there, but they were out of power and telephones for a while.

Be careful that you don't run into the last Saskatchewan Pirate! He'll steal yer wheat and barely and all yer other grains!

Or at least that's what I've been told...

I have a couple of trips planned throughout the summer. My family generally drives up to the coast of Maine for camping, I won't be making the drive, by then I will have my pilots license so will be renting a plane for two weeks and bringing it. When I get my license I am going to be flying around, hoping to make it to Martha's Vineyard, and NYC.

Grats on the promotion as well! You've earned it.

Does this mean you're on front page duty now?

Damn, GT40! You really are a gear head!

I'll be staying in New Hampshire at my friends lake house in the middle of nowhere, and of course, water skiing and wake boarding every day. ..did I ever mention I'm a champion slalom skier? </gloat>

I'll also be in Georgia (tybee island to be precise) for a week or two as well. Thats about the extent of it this year. Expect a new CNC to be built etc, however.

Like the programmable router table type CNC Machine? Or do they have more variants than with just routers? Like lasers and such?
