Hey everyone,
I'm having a bit of trouble here, and I'd appreciate some opinions/help.
Last year, I purchased a Dlink DFL-700 (http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=327)firewall from Tigerdirect, and it's been great. So good in fact, that I wanted to pick up 2 more for other sites.
However, I've just found out that the dfl-700 has now been discontinued, and replaced with the DFL-800. The main difference is that the 800 supports 100 concurrent vpn tunnels, while the 700 only does 80. Not a big deal, I only need 10 anyways. "Why not just buy the 800 then?" The DFL-700 was $499 retail, the DFL-800 is $1499 retail.
If it ain't broke, replace it with something more expensive. Thanks Dlink. :evil:
I cant find any retailers in Canada who even have the DFL-700 in stock anymore, and a quick call to Dlink confirms that the 700 is no longer available in Canada. Amazon.com has them (http://www.amazon.com/D-Link-DFL-700-Network-Security-Firewall/dp/B00029J1RC/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-7066580-9010518?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1180551511&sr=8-1), but is not allowed to ship them to Canada. :evil:
So here's where this community comes into play.. I need either:
A) a comparable firewall with VPN capabilites, for under $700.. something that you have had personal experience with, and would recommend,
or
B) someone trustworthy to get the DFL-700's shipped to in the US, who would then ship them to me in Canada.
Any help would be great, but I need to get this underway ASAP. Thanks in advance!
