Anybody being using iTunes 7.2 lately. EMI has it setup so all there songs are DRM free now which means all your songs can be updated for a small price. As a result iTunes servers are groaning under the strain. It appears for the time being Audio books are no longer available to download. When my dad went to download one it said this book is no longer available and it was the same for every book. The same thing happens to me on my account to but songs work. Apple must be trying to conserve bandwidth by turning off Audio Books as they are made up of like 4-5 30mb files compared to the 2-3mb for songs.

HAahAHaAHAHa...

Have you read all the articles?

Make a google search...
Your, "DRM-free" songs, have your name and eMail watermarked all over.

(( evil laughter ))

EDIT: Sorry man.
I should have been more sensitive.

What kind of audio books do you get from iTunes?

My parents mainly get them. Crime books for my mum and biographies for my dad. I have got a few Robert Ludlum books but I prefer paper and cardboard ones.

Oh, nice!

That's what I use my iPod for... audio books.
So, let me get this, iTunes is not serving audio books right now?

I prefer the hard copy books too, never got into the Audio books. But yeah, I don't like the idea of downloading music, especially if you pay for it, I like buying the CD, looking through the little book it comes with, admiring the artwork, and ripping it onto my PC at a quality of my choosing.

Yup yup... me too.

But, when you need 36 hours inside a 24-hour day, you learn to 'compromise'.

It's either audio book, or no book.

I don't listen to books that are, read out loud.
They're more in the direction of "seminars" and... well, programs specifically tailored to their end result as an audio book (audio 'course'?).
:)

Isn't it obvious why AJ? When the idiots post those songs on file sharing networks, Apple can track them down. Anyways, you're not suppose to give them to all your friends so what's the problem?
