Well, I had gotten the odd ball spam email every couple months or so, and I just now had a few in my spam folder, something that hadn't happened before... I knew about them before, but now the war's a comin' to mah front. Prolly gonna wear out my delete key, lol.

Note: Sorry if this thread is the same as those emails, spam.

would you like to see what my inbox looks like?

Edit: cant be arsed to take a screenpic. 9 pages - 4000+ spam emails.
It's got to the point where I'm too lazy to delete them....

Actually, I had heard the a major spammer in the US (Seattle I think) was just arrested and they anticipated spam to decrease dramatically. Guess not eh?

Why would someone send spam? It seems kinda pointless to me... all you'd get is someone like Phillipa Micrakin' (sp?) replying to you. *shudder*

Do the math bro...

You send out ten million eMails... that's 10,000,000 possibilities.

With what do you want to work with?
1%?
0.1%?
Ok... 0.01%?

The numbers still make sense... but you loose your soul to the devil when you run a spam business.
Other than that, it's a great idea.

Well, if you're good at weaseling money out of people, then I can see why someone would... I guess my logic is just not applicable to spam, lol. Alright, back to English, stupid class, which I still am not getting ANYTHING from whatsoever. I have to write essays, but none of my teachers since fifth grade have taught me how to write. Stupid system where you have to learn certain things yourself because the teachers are too lazy to teach you.

I just make a Joe Shmoe account for signing up for things that require a email address. My Verizon Yahoo. .has a spam filter.

Though I'm still getting an average of 75 Spams in the Bulk folder a day, good thing I don't have to look at the crap. I just select check all then delete.

For some reason, having spam in the spam folder annoys me immensely. It's just some sort of pet peeve that I have or something, just like how the current state of my room (a ****hole) is aggravating me.

I actually don't get spam in my gmail account. Maybe i just haven't given my email out enough. My yahoo accounts on the other hand are nothing but spam.

Interesting...

Suggestion for life:::
Never wait for a teacher.

If you want to be able to write well, you should read, read, read and read more and more.
Practice writing 'well' too.

Many people just hammer out "texts" thinking it's for personal use... or for 'friends'.

In my experience, you should take every moment to practice correct writing... sounds too much, but even in IM conversations, I try to do it right.

If something is hard to read, the writer didn't put much effort into it.
And if he did in fact put much effort into it, then... well.

I've read. A LOT. My grammar and vocabulary are both in very good shape. I can also write papers well too, just not quite as well as I could if I had a little more guidance. I do learn most things for myself, I'd just appreciate it more if people would do their damn jobs, lol.

One time I printed out an email to myself for english class and I had 1,337 spam messages in my Gmail spam folder. I've got 2k+ right now, and that's with the autodeletion.

Ahh the good old days of them there intrawebs....

The land where isp's would instaban you for even remotely pretending to send out ONE piece of spam. The land where, IF you DID send out spam even by accident people would physically show up at your door with a lynch mob. The land where it was legal to launch a DOS attack on any hosting company suspected of allowing spammers to do business...

Then the politicians got involved....

I know, didn't they call it "legitimate advertising" or some **** like that? I'd love to send a few viruses to spammers, lol, but 1) I don't know how and 2) I think it's illegal.

CTRL + A then DEL cant be that hard
You can only do that in an email program such as Thunderbird or Outlook. Doing it in a browser will select everything on the page, not just the emails.

Sniff' I miss those days.

Yeah for signing up I use my hotmail. But for correspondence I use my gmail which keeps it spam free.

yeah, i get emails recommending a tablet that can help me maintain my erections for longer.

it may just be a hunch, but something tells me i might not be needing those tablets.

but of course, the emails are all confined to my gmail spam folder, so i never see them.

I thought for a moment you were asking for tablets to make your erections longer. O_O
