Lately some worklogs have huge high res pics or lots of medium res pics. I don't know about anyone else but this is starting to get to me. So I thought I should mention a neat little program I came across its a bulk photo resizer.

You can dump all the pics off your camera into a folder then tell the program to resize them all to a suitable size hit ok and it will resize them all and move the copies to a new folder.

But I love taking my pictures at a resolution of 3008x2000 in a raw format.

Sweet... for some reason I came across this thread (topic title is random) and It just so happens I was talking about needing to find a program exactly like this because resizing pictures from my camera 1 by 1 is a pain.

Thanks! :D

I agree, its good n all taking at stupidly high res (3000x2000) but notice the size they are? Some can reach over 5MB, and for people on slow internet or DIAL-UP even (God thats still about?) or even people that have bandwith limits.

Yes, high res pictures are nice, but be resinable, take them at high res, but resize them to say? 1024x768????? then when you use photbucket or Imageshack you can use the thumbnail option? you won't see any loss in quality dropping to 1024x768 since that is the most common screen size, so the image is going to be shrunk anyway when most see it.

My £0.01p ($0.02c at the current currencly rate)

Sadly, yes, it's still around *tear* :(

I'm stuck with it...and that's the only reason I don't read or post in the worklog sections...

i feel for you man, but you can get IE7 to scale images down or not show them until you tell them to, and even then you can show single images.

Xcom, love your sig man. how did you manage to linky up the tuts w/o html?

It's actually 5 different images with URLs attached.
Speaking of sigs, yours is too wide Maz. 450 pixels is the max, yours is 600 wide. Can you please shorten it?
