hey, my names Josh and ive been visintg for a while and decided to finally join up here... Im an auto body technician (in training) and i love to modify and make new things, so since i dont have money to throw around modifying cars i decided im going to mod my computer for a sort of summer project this year. So since I happen to be a cheap person, I needed to find a home for my old parts, that used to make their home inside my now gutted case. What better to use then an old CD rack? lol about 1 hour, some fitting and a ton of masking tape and i can now proudly claim to have a rackmount tool-free drive bay computer.

runs fine and temps are decent, so i just might keep those parts on the rack.. however i must retrieve that motherboard tray from under my motherboard so after i finish the stealth, it could be my next project to make a nice case and turn the old parts in it to make a dedicated web-pc so i dont have to run firewalls on my gaming machiene
now onto my project.. here it is disassembled and sorta halfway back together because i forgot to take a before shot lol, oh yea and as an added bonus you get to see my beautiful toenails which need some serious cutting

isnt it just lovely, i picked it up for $15 3 years ago and its actually quite solid for the price, but its boooring and we cant have that now can we?

-coolermaster cpu fan (forgot the name and too lazy to look it up.. lol)

-blue (etched blackout window-can only see through the etched parts)
-black (mesh, dont know how the part where the drive bays are at will work out yet, but it gives an idea)

-green (blue LED fans, all the openings are aready there but i want to remove the stupid small holes and just make each fan spot one large opening)
-lighter blue (cold cathode lighting)
for the stealth part of it.. everything except the chrome on the front will be painted black.. flat black on the inside and black with clear coat on the outside. Fans will be made as close to silent as possible and noise dampening materials will be installed. I am hoping to be able to rewire the fan led's to a switch along with the cold cathodes to turn them off when i dont want them on. After having a raidmax smilodon on while im trying to go to sleep with its leds and fans i want a way to give this system a to look cool with the blue glow, but also when i need to leave it on overnight to be able to shut the lights off without having to go in and unplug everything with a bright light on it. Various other little tweaks will probably be added in the progress of it but for now thats what i can think of. Have a nice long read? lol, first progress will probably be the various cutting out of parts on the case, wouldnt be surprised if its not for a while because as much as i try, I just dont get things accomplished fast. Please if you have any ideas feel free to suggest them... Im a huge newbie at case modding so theres probably thousands of ways i could improve on my project.
