First of all, hi.
I'm new on this forum, so I'll hope you guys make me fell home ;)
The log has been on bit-tech and a danish forum called tweak for a while. But then I saw this forum and i thought that you shouldn't miss my project. My name on the danish forum is lp-freak and that explain the text in the picture ;)
But enjoy my log guys :) (c/p :p)

http://profil-teksten.dk/nlm/logo.jpg

Hi guys and welcome to my first project here on bit-tech!
My name is Jon, I’ve just turned 16, and I’m from a little country called Denmark, we haven’t got lots of good case modders here, so with this case I hope to bring Denmark onto the international modding scene :)

I would like to present my up-coming project: NLM which stand for Nano Lan Monster.
My last project was very big, and now I want to make something, more crazy and sensational. I’ve been thinking a lot, and then I suddenly realized that I needed something crazy! First I would make a theme case, you know like a Counter Strike theme or a mud theme, but then when one of my friends send me a link to one of those small Nano Itx motherboards, my brain started working ideas out.

Now I wont give you all details, but just a overview, and some of the main-things.

- Small
- Lan suitable
- Crazy

I think that’s it ;) The dimensions is going to be about 15*15*20, I just need the last information, then I can give you the correct dimensions.
My color-theme is black and orange.

I’ve just ordered some orange plexi; 3 and 5mm :)
As soon I’m getting home from vacation (about 25’th February) I’ll order all the stuff I need, I’ve made a little list for you guys:
- Motherboard
- RAM
- PSU
- 120mm orange fan
- Orange cabelsleeving (1/8”, 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2”)
- Black headshrink (1/8”, 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2” and 3/4”)
- Black connectors
- Orange 3mm leds
- Orange bulging button (and yes it exists)

And then I also want An airbrush (I’ve always wanted that tool ;))

I’ve got all the tools I need, so if I just take my time, I’m sure I’ll get a good result!

Oh and also when I remember it! I’m going to build this case, cause I couldn’t find one to mod :D

But now I wont talk anymore, lets get to work. First part will follow in 2 minutes. Cya!

Update 1 – Fridge Part 1 @ Tuesday the 6th February 2007.

For word
I’ll build a little fridge for my case, I’ll start building the fridge because it’s the biggest thing so I’m going to use the dimensions. In the first part I’ll only build the box, later I’ll show you how its going to work!

The funny part
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/001.jpg
First I’ve gut out some pieces I’ll be using to the inmost where the cola is going to be.
All the pieces isn’t on the picture, but just to get an idea of the size I’ll show you this image.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/002.jpg
Now I’ve bend some of the corners.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/003.jpg
This is how they look, that’s great :)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/004.jpg
The first pieces putted together, I used rivets to hold them.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/005.jpg
That’s defiantly good enough for the inside, I’ll anyways paint it.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/006.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/007.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/008.jpg

Now the whole box is rivet together, that’s not bad ;)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/009.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/010.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/011.jpg
Now with a beer in it, it fits perfectly!

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/012.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/013.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/014.jpg
Now I gave it some silicone to hold condense inside the box, we wont have wet hardware will we?

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/015.jpg
Now I’ve made the outside cover ready some synthetic metal.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/016.jpg
The stuff I’ll put on will cover cracks like those, and when I paint it, you cant see anything ;)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/019.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/020.jpg
Some shots after the synthetic metal. I’ll sand it down.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/021.jpg
Now I’ve rough sanded the corners.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/022.jpg
So now I call the dremmel.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/023.jpg
And after some dusty hours I’ve got a cover ready to fine sanding :)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/024.jpg
Well, now away from that boring sanding, and time to find some materials, first here’s the isolation I’m going to use, original it was noise killer material for my other project, but I bet I can use it here as well.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/025.jpg
The paint I’m going to use.

Update 2 – Fridge Part 2 @ Saturday the 10th February2007.

For word.
Today I’ve done some more work on the fridge, not much but some sanding and painting.
In the next part I’ll prepare the frige for some cooling, but you got to wait until the end of the week.:)

The funny part
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/026.jpg
The outside-box is now sanded and ready for brushed look.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/027.jpg
Now I’ve sanded it with a grit 120 paper.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/028.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/029.jpg
Some close-ups, this is not bad :D.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/030.jpg
After some painting. I’ve planted a little piece of tape to show the upside. Its only the two big sides which’s on this picture, that will be visible in the case.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/031.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/032.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/033.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/034.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/035.jpg

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/036.jpg
It’s not easy to take good pictures of the surface. But as you properly can see, it looks awesome. That brushed look which also Lian Li uses is just amazing.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/037.jpg
I’ll prepare the first piece of isolation.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/038.jpg
Cut out.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/039.jpg
And put in the box :)

That’s it, stay cool until next update ;)

Update 3 – Fridge Part 3 @ Thursday the 15th February 2007.

For word
Today I’ve got a lot of work done on the fridge. Maybe it looks a bit messed, but I’ll try to explain the pictures so you can follow me.

The funny part
I’ll start showing you some of the stuff I’m going to use.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/041.jpg
Here’s the to first things, a hinge and a some kind of “fastening” (Don’t know what to call it ^^)
But let’s take a closer look.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/042.jpg
Here’s the hinge, I’ll give it some black paint before continue.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/043.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/044.jpg
Here’s the ”fastening”, its quiet smart. As the way I’ve put them together at the last picture, they’ll be in the final result.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/045.jpg
Here’s the block who’s going to lead the heat away from the peltierelementet, as I’ll show you in 2 sec.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/046.jpg
This is the back, I’ll sand it down.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/047.jpg
And the little 40mm fan I’m going to use.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/048.jpg
I gave it some power, but it’s blue.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/049.jpg
Right there You’ll find a led (and 2 other places), I have to open the fan to kill them.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/050.jpg
Now they’re gone.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/051.jpg
Aaah that’s much better.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/052.jpg
At Tuesday I got some stuff from the post.
Here’s its most important contents, the peltierelement! I want it to cool the whole fridge, and I swear its effective! I’ll give you some temps when it’s installed.
If you shouldn’t know the one side is 60degreeds colder than the other, and if i then cool down the warm side, the other will be cold :) It use 4A and 12V which give an effect at 48W, which give my PSU some opposition ^^ Don’t worry I’ll take case of that later.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/053.jpg
Some leds. Orange off cause. :D They’re on 2V so I’ll put them together 6 and 6 in serial on the 12V line.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/054.jpg
And a lot of headshrink.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/055.jpg
This is how I want to mount the pelterelement.

jegerjon
06-10-2007, 05:12 PM
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/056.jpg
Now lets get to work! The first I did was to sand down the block, grit 120 – 300 – 600 – 1000 – done. This is how I looks now :D

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/057.jpg
Here I’ve draw where I’ll gut a 1mm groove for the hinge.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/058.jpg
Cut out.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/059.jpg
But before mounting the hinge, I’ll need a door. There’s 3 parts in the door, a outside, a inside, and the isolation between. This one is the outside.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/060.jpg
Before I can mount the door I’ll need to make a little plate which 1½mm. It fits very good.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/061.jpg
Now I’ve got some bolds on. But I wont use those, I’ll use rivets.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/062.jpg
Now it’s mounted. Crap picture, I’ll bring you a better one in the next update.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/063.jpg
I mounted the fan to see how it will look, it fits perfect with 4mm bolds, so I’ll use those. (Off cause I’m going to paint them.)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/064.jpg
I’ve cut some holes on the inside of the door, it works good.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/065.jpg
From the other side, the one who turns down to the cola. I need to finish this.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/066.jpg
And the fastening is mounted.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/067.jpg
Now the little thing which hold the door, It’ll be mounted on the same plate as the coolblock.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/068.jpg
A little overview.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/069jpg
When I was working the post gave me a package.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/070.jpg
That’s it.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/071.jpg
In it I’ve found some plexi :D Orange off cause! 2 pieces. One at 5mm frosten and one at 3mm clear. This is definitely enough for the little NLM ;)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/072.jpg
That’s not bad ;)

Hope to see you soon guys!
Comments are welcome as always :D

Btw. I’ll repaint the outside box :)

Update 4 – Fridge Part 4 @ Tuesday the 27th February 2007.

For word.
All right I’ve got some more work done today.
One update more, and the fridge should be finished :)

The funny part

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/073.jpg
First a picture from where I was last week (Trysil @ Norway). Man there was goddamn -20 degrees.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/074.jpg
Lets mod! So I’m going to use some foam (don’t know what its called in English) instead of the noise isolation. It seems as a much better solution.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/075.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/076.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/077.jpg
Now I put some “joint mass” on because: it hide the ugly foam, And it helps to isolate when the door is closed. I’ll paint everything when there’s nothing else left to do.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/078.jpg
I’ve rivet the hing, I’ll paint those to, as swell as repaint the whole fridge.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/079.jpg
And I’ve drilled a hole for the cables.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/080.jpg
Now the peltier and the coolblock are mounted.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/081.jpg
The backside looks good to.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/082.jpg
Well I ****ed the door up, so I’m going to make a new ^^ (Maan I love my mill :D)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/083.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/084.jpg
That’s pretty good.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/085.jpg
And the door is on, it fits very good.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/086.jpg
All right lets work on the little handle.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/087.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/088.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/089.jpg
After a meet with my mill it’s almost done, just need some filling and sanding, to make it fit the rest of the fridge.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/090.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/091.jpg
This is how it should be, it’s properly good enough ;)

See you soon! Btw. Comments are welcome!

Update 8 – Fridge part 5 @ Wedensday the 7th March 2007.

For word.
This is the last update about the Fridge!
There isn’t much to say, but as you’ll find out, I’ve now finished this part.
I ordered some stuff from performance-pcs i hope it’ll arrive tomorrow.
Lets gogo

The funny part

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/148.jpg
I don’t know why it’s always the details I’m photographing, but here I’ve sanded the handle.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/149.jpg
The isolation has been glued on, I’ll fix the edges later.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/150.jpg
Now there’s some silicon between the 2 parts.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/151.jpg
After a couple of day.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/152.jpg
Lol, I’ve to fix this.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/153.jpg
That was easy :)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/154.jpg
Perfect.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/155.jpg
I’ve put on some bondo @

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/156.jpg
Done with the dremel.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/157.jpg
And the last holes’ patched.

A lot of sanding and some paint later:

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/158.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/159.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/160.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/161.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/162.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/163.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/164.jpg
Nice nice. But after I’ve changed the plans (which means that I’ve to mod a little mATX case) I was worried if I even could get it fit.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/165.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/166.jpg
It’ll be placed here, but because of those bastads I have to “try-fit” it closer to the psu.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/167.jpg
Now I’ve planted it.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/168.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/169.jpg
Omg I was lucky, it fit very good!

See you soon, I’m going to make my own waterblocks ;)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/230.jpg
And also for the fan.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/231.jpg

Update 15 – PSU plate @ Friday the 23rd Marc 2007.

Intro
Today I’ve got some more work done.
I did also made the last side panel, but you have to wait until next update ;)
The idea came when I figured out that the psu was to big to fit the case. I think the result is pretty good. When I get some more time I’ll create some spacers that’ll hold the psu and the case together ;) Lets go.

The funny part

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/274.jpg
As you can see, there is not that much space.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/275.jpg
So lets use the dremmel.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/276.jpg
Done.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/277.jpg
As you can see, there’s space for everything now.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/278.jpg
Then it’s time to create the plate, here I did a little drawing.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/279.jpg
All right, we start here. A plexi and a alu sheet.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/280.jpg
And once again I need to use the mill.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/281.jpg
Now it’s time to make it fit.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/282.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/283.jpg
Great!

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/284.jpg

Intro
Some more work done :D
When I have some more time for modding, I’ll mill the waterblock for the peltierlement, cause I want to see how it’ll look with the outside tubing ;)

But lets take a look.

The funny part

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/360.jpg
The first thing to do today was to drill holes.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/361.jpg
Yep, to make the plate fit on those :)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/362.jpg
Now that’s good.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/363.jpg
So..

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/364.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/365.jpg
And the two parts glued together.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/366.jpg
Now it’s only the holes that’s left.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/369.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/368.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/367.jpg
Thos screws will hold the bars for the psu.

Intro
Woha, now my coke should be cool as hell :D I think the outside tubing looks awesome, but i let you decide ;) I don’t want to talk any more, lets go to the pictures!

Den sjove del

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/392.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/393.jpg
Well, maybe it’s not the highest performance, but it should be good enough to keep my coke cool :P

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/394.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/395.jpg
Then I mounted it.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/396.jpg
Now, lets cut out 4 pieces with the dimensions: 15*25mm, yep they are small, and i can tell you, it was a pain to cut them out.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/397.jpg
And then drilling holes. Lol, actually it was even harder to drill 4mm holes in the 5mm plexi ^^

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/398.jpg
Time to drill the holes for the tubing holders.

Update 21 – Rounding plexi and creating the bottom plate @ Thursday the 12th April 2007.

Intro
I’ve decided to mount the radiator directly on the bottom plate. And that’s why I wanted to create it to day. I’d also got time for some plexi rounding. If it’s matching the design better now you’ll find out in the next update, where I’ll put the beats together again. ;)

Today I also ordered some glue, which should be perfect for my h2o block! It’s design to glue plastic and aluminium together, and at the same time be water resistant, handle temps up to 90C and then it’s transparent!

Next update should be ready on Sunday. And here the last 3 h2o blocks should be milled out.

But lets take a look.
The funny part

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/414.jpg
Some of the stuff I ordered.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/415.jpg
ACRyan mesh panel – those small holes are perfect for me. I’m going to hide my motherboard behind them ;)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/416.jpg
My 120mm orange fan.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/417.jpg
Some c-strip – I’m going to put this in the holes I’m milling in the mesh where the h2o blocks’ going to stick up. But I’ll show you more of that later on.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/418.jpg
All right, I needed to round my plexi. On the big piece were the button and so are mounted on I’m going off with a big rounding.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/419.jpg
And on the small piece’s a little rounding.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/420.jpg
This is how I planned to do it. Now I’ll get a straight edge, and the same rounding all the way around.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/421.jpg
After some filing we got this.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/422.jpg
First piece’s finished.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/423.jpg
After some sanding the edge should be good enough. When I get the dust washed off you wont see the small scratch.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/424.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/425.jpg
Then I did the small piece’s.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/426.jpg

I’m sad because I wont be able to see this fantastic grill when I’m finished, because It’s in the bottom. I do really like those big grooves, and I think that they match the design very well.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/432.jpg
Some more cutting in the little old case. It’s incredible that it’s still stable.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/431.jpg
I hope that this will give a awesome effect, with the orange glowing under the computer.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/433.jpg
I did also need to cut a little here. The radiator was a little to big – but I’ll fix that with a cool idea I got ;)

Hope you’ve enjoyed. Cya!

Update 22 – Back in one piece @ Sunday the 15th April 2007.

Intro
Some more work done on the case ;) All those small part does just take soooo long time.

I haven’t got my screws jet, so you’ve got to look at the hex screws on this update too :D

I got NO time before my trap to London, but I’ll try to but in the PSU tomorrow so you can see how it looks :)

But lets move!!!!!!!!

The funny part

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/434.jpg
I did two waterblocks, this is how they started.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/435.jpg
I need to do something here, the transistors are sitting way stupuid :D

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/436.jpg
And after a lot of milling this was what we got.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/437.jpg
And the way to mount those block are a lot smarter than the block for the cpu. I’m just screwing a 3mm bolt into each of those holes, smart right? :D

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/438.jpg
And the little problem got solved.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/439.jpg
DONE! Lets take a closer look.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/446.jpg
And the hole family of water block :D

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/447.jpg
In-between all this I got time to paint the case.

Off cause i added those to backside, we don’t want shorts right?

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/452.jpg
Then I mounted the block on the gfx.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/453.jpg
And then something which was PISSING me off.. I needed to mill a new plate for the bottom, because that the radioator didn’t fit with the motherboard :wallbash: :duh: :duh: :wallbash:, I don’t get why I didn’t realized this earlier. Waste of money and time. (rofl look at all the scratches on the old one :D Maybe I got a little to angry)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/455.jpg
The radiator and the fans got mounted :)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/456.jpg
And I did also need to change the fittings on the gfx.

Update 23 – HDD Part 1 @ Thursday the 10th April 2007.

Intro
Eh, not much time, so as soon I get some more time I’ll mod the harddisk. I want to cut NLM in the hdd cover, and mount some plexi on it. But we don’t want dust in the harddisk right? So I constructed this “hdd dismount boks” inspired from the spiderman case. In the next update there’ll be some actually modding, just hang on :)

The funny part

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/487.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/488.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/489.jpg
This it the harddisk, a 80gb Maxtor disk.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/490.jpg
We’ll need a box, the only one I could find was this one.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/491.jpg
My legoooo :D

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/492.jpg
Now the case’s ready.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/493.jpg
Okay, here’s the top.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/494.jpg
Then I cutted some plexi, I want to see what I’m doing :D

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/495.jpg
Some marking-up.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/496.jpg
Some compass-sawing, and I got this nice hole :)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/497.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/498.jpg
I need to fill this, I want absolutely NO dust into the case.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/499.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/500.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/501.jpg

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/502.jpg
Then back to the case. I need to mount some gloves.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/503.jpg
Drilling the holes :)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/504.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/505.jpg
Looks good! Cant wait to use it :D

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/506.jpg
The silicone’s now dry, and It hold the plexi perfect.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/507.jpg
And the finished case.

Let me hear what you think. Another update should be ready next week. Cheers.

Update 24 – Feets Part 1 - Design @ Friday the 18th April 2007.

Intro
Ey guys! Finally I’ll have some spare time! In this weekend I’ll make the feets! I’ve also been modding on my harddrive, I just want to have everything in the next hdd update (including testing and mounting) so you’ll have to wait a little. Buuut, in the next update I’ll properly bring you a little teaser ;)

Oh back to the feets, I did some sketchup (sorry it’s my first attempt, hope the irl letters will be a little more round :D)
I have to do 2, one in the front and one in the back. But you’ll see later!

The funny part

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/508.jpg
The is one of the sides. You can read on the picture, what the holes in top are for.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/509.jpg
And here again, just so you can see the letters a little more easy.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/510.jpg
This is the other side, as you can see it’s similar to the other side, so you’ll be able to read NLM from both sides :D

The two black parts will be done in 5-8mm alu (don’t know yet, have to check out the workshop) They are separated by a 5mm thick frosted piece of acryl. It gives a totally thickness on 15-20, and that’s perfect ;) They’ll be about 16-18cm long (don’t know yet, I cant remember the size of the bottom eh)
The plexi will light up, and there be light IN the letters, bet that effect is going to be awesome.

I’ll start on the feets tomorrow, right now I have some English homework to do. Cya later guys :)

Update 25 – Feets and psu! @ Thursday the 24th May 2007.

Intro.
Finally I have a new update ready!.
Accidentally I deleted all the pics :(, So no work in process, only final shots – or actually i have a little more work to do on the feets :)
I do really like the feets! But damn NLM seems “squared” without the outside tubing.

The funny part

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/511.jpg
Here’s the atx connector :)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/512.jpg
4-pin connector for the cpu.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/513.jpg
And at last, this is how the molex connectors does look.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/514.jpg
The orange cablesleeving goes very well with the black!

Update 26 – Feets part 3 @ Thursday the 31st May2007.

Intro
Wee, ready with another update! ;) Well, first off, I would really like more light to come out from the holes, so need to mount a cathode under, or fix some leds or so. I’ll find out. ;)
Tomorrow i start soldering leds, we need some light in it right? :P. I think when the fridge’s in again, the tubing make it look less sqared.

The funny part

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/536.jpg
All right, here we start, a 50*50mm alu piece.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/537.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/538.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/539.jpg
First thing to do on the alu piece: mill down one of the corners.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/540.jpg
Then mill down the fist side!

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/541.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/543.jpg
Last part to mill.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/544.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/545.jpg
That’s what I’m talking about baby.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/546.jpg
Then some cutting.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/547.jpg
Done and perfect ;)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/548.jpg
This is the way the mounting works, hope you can see the idea ;) The holes fit with the holes in the bottom plate.

jegerjon
06-10-2007, 05:22 PM
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/549.jpg
Like this.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/550.jpg
Then mounting them.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/551.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/552.jpg
Damn, that’s great.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/553.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/554.jpg
You’ve seen those pictures before, and i decided to got with the mesh.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/555.jpg
The holes got drilled.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/556.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/557.jpg
What do you think?

Some pictures in dark.
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/558.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/559.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/560.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/561.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/562.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/563.jpg
Bad that the fans didn’t gave more light. But I’ll fix that, just wait ;)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/564.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/565.jpg
Now this is what I need to do on the feets. Give the edge some paint and add these felt guys because we don’t want any scratches in the surface it’s on right`? ;)

Hope you liked it! Cya!

I took almost an entire day to look through, read and appreciate this worklog. Absolutely mouth watering. Your work, is amazing. Just amazing. If I have ever seen a case that would be my dream case, you are the closest so far! Man, I just really don't know what else to say! Truly wonderful!

It was almost like a roller coaster ride at times. At first, it was like riding to the top of the very first drop. The excitement just keeps building and building. And then WHAM! You hit that first drop and its just pure joy. But then you did something that I didn't think was a good idea, but as I kept reading I realized what you were doing and it all just fit so perfectly. Wham! another drop and more excitement! I found your entire worklog to be like that. Except, it was way better than any roller coaster I have ever been on! :p

Good luck with the rest of this mod! I can't wait to see more!

Update 27 – Hdd finished and new screws @ Thursday the 14st June 2007.

Intro
Finally I’ve got a update ready. Not as huge as I promised, I had some problems with my leds, but now I’ve ordered some new, and they should fix my problem. They should arrive on Monday.

But here I’ll bring you a update about my haddrive, I’ll test it tomorrow, and I hope I still works :D

Lets take a look:
The funny part

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/566.jpg
First of all, I had to fix the edges on the mesh.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/567.jpg
Here’s the hdd’s top after milling and painting.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/568.jpg
And the plexi that’s going to make sure that no dust will go into the harddrive.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/569.jpg
Fixing the silicon.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/570.jpg
Drilling holes in the case. They are going to hold the harddrive.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/571.jpg
And drilling holes in the plexi, we want space for the screwheads right? :P

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/572.jpg
Fixing the spacers ;)

And then:

And then the next point in this update, you see those screws? I like to change them.

Update 28 – Pump mounting @ Saturday the 16st June 2007.

Intro
Not much to tell about this update. I’ve been working on the pump, I really didn’t feel like I wanted to mod the pumps, so I decided to go the easy way, and create a cover. It turned out really good if you ask me. The whole motherboard will be covered with this kind of mesh, so don’t tell me that it don’t fit into the mod, because it’ll look amazing with the mobo cover. Just stay with me and you will see in a couple of updates.

The funny part

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/584.jpg
Here’s the pump we’ll be working with, a Laing DCC-plus

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/585.jpg
After a lot of thoughts I, I did find this solution as the best.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/586.jpg
Then getting the mounting pieces ready. 2 washers, 2 home made vibration-killers and 2 of those awesome screws :D

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/587.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/588.jpg
And then, this is how it looks. BUT I just didn’t like it because the white don’t fit the mod.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/589.jpg
Then I draw up the cover I wanted to create.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/590.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/591.jpg
This is how it turned out.

My vote: Black Screws

If you could get those silver screws in black, I think those would look perfect. I like how the silver screws somewhat resemble the "in" and "out" ports on the block whereas the black screws sort of have a rounded top, which doesn't quite fit in with how the block looks overall in my opinion. Not that the black screws look bad, they look great. They actually kind of fit in with those black rings on top and they definitely look good with matching the blocks base color. I guess you could say the same for the silver screws, but the black is the dominant color on your block and in your entire mod.

lol no wonder you asked for our opinions, it's kind of a tough choice. ^_^

Update 29 – Light part 1 – The front @ Monday the 2nd Juli 2007.

Intro
Finally I got a new update for you. I’ve actually done a huge amount of work (Yep! Soon I’ll be able to finish it, but still need the screen!), but I just want to teaser you a little :hehe:, and give the updates some time. The last things, are always the hardest to get rid off, because you’ve been extended them hehe, and damn I had a lot of troubles while trying to fix the light in the front! But finally I was happy with the result.

I’m still thinking of how to make the light under the case look better, take a look in the end of this update.
Lets have some light:

Den sjove del

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/604b.jpg
Lined up – Here’s every thing I need, except of the soldering iron.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/605.jpg
I’ll be able to place leds all over the plate, except for here.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/606.jpg
The LCD screen is the wrong place, and I’ll not be able to place leds here.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/607.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/608.jpg
But let’s start soldereing, not much to show – bet you all know how-to :)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/610.jpg

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/614.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/615.jpg
That’s it. NO pictures in completely darkness, you have to wait for them to the case is finished, and I take the final pictures :)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/616.jpg
And last a picture of the light under the case. I don’t really think it fit the case with those light-spots under the case. (I know they aren’t completely straight, just need to adjust the leds).
But I hoped you could help me coming up with a good idea, and how I could spread out the light a little more.

Thanks.

You could either go with cathodes or make some kind of long narrow piece of plexi with LEDs on either end to light it up... similar to having fiber optic cables with lights on the ends, it lights them up. I think that it looks fine with the uneven lighting, but that's just me, lol.

Update 30 – Light part 2 @ Friday the 6th of July 2007.

Intro
The light in the bottom looks AWESOME now!! It just have such a great effect and it’s awesome irl! ;) The idea with filing some of the leds worked out perfect!.
Beside the light in the bottom I also added some light to the tubing holders, it looks great to if you ask me ;) Now I do only need to fix the light in the back, and for this I’ve orderd some “glowwire” from America. I can’t wait to get my fingers in it. I would love to find out how it works :hehe: It’s no option to add leds in the back, it’s just milled out wrong, but the glowwire should do the job!

Well, back to this update. On the pictures the light-sources looks kinda yellow, I don’t know why, but irl. The light is ONLY orange. It looks very good :)

Update 31 – The screen part 1 @ Monday the 9th July 2007.

Intro
I’m still waiting for my package with glowwire, coming all the way from usa. ;) I’m started on the screen. Thanks to bass for the sketch, for you who haven’t seen it, here it is, the ting I’m working threw:
http://profil-teksten.dk/nlm/monitor.jpg
But lets start the real update.

The funny part

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/628.jpg
But first something funny :D I want to show you the funniest thing I’ve ever done. Try to look at the rat, I’ve added two gear wheels, which make the wheel go the opposite way than the wheel. It’s really hard to run on it. But I also added pedals and a wheel from a smaller bike to make it even funnier. Hehe some funny hours I had there. Lets go seriously!

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/629.jpg
Here’s the screen we’ll work with, a 17” dell widescreen.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/630.jpg
Without the border.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/631.jpg
From behind, I’m going to use the small pipes sticking up, when I attack the whole thing together.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/632.jpg
Then I cut out two slices of 3mm alu.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/633.jpg
In my bender I did some 90degreeds corners. But kids, watch out this machine! It has a pressure at 60 tons! Maaan that’s a lot.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/634.jpg
Done.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/635.jpg
I’ll place them on the screen like this.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/636.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/637.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/638.jpg
The when they are cut out, fit’s perfect.

jegerjon
07-09-2007, 03:37 PM
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/639.jpg
Then I cut some more 3mm alu out, those will be used as angles and hold the hole thing together.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/640.jpg
Drawn and ready for holes.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/641.jpg
Like this :P

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/643.jpg
Bended and ready to use!

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/644.jpg
Here’s all the parts.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/645.jpg
The last thing that’s left on those is some holes to hold the angels.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/646.jpg
The screen from behind with the angels in place.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/647.jpg
And the last thing in this update: the back plate. It’ll hold the all in place.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/648.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/649.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/650.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/651.jpg
Damn, that’s nice. Next step is to connect the plate with the rest, and make the foot for the screen.
Next update will hopefully be in the end of the week, if I get my glowwire!

Cya guys :)

Thank you all :) It does really help me modding. Lets have a update :D

Update 32 – The monitor part 2 @ Wednesday the 18th of July 2007.

Intro
Next update for the monitor is ready now! I’ve fixed everything, and the only that’s left is sanding and painting. I think it’s cool! I skipped the idea with NLM milled into the foot, but I don’t want the piece of alu there, because it looks to heavy and big. I like how I is now, and that’s how it’ll be ;)

Next update on Friday, and pictures from the final monitor :)

The funny part

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/652.jpg
Here’s the foot has been bended, the bends are like on the computer, and I think it fits good with everything else ;)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/653.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/654.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/655.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/656.jpg
Then I used my mile to create the first part of the “holder” which’ll join the screen and the foot. It’s skew in the end, to make the monitor go back.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/657.jpg
I should be placed like this ;)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/658.jpg
Here’s the last part of the “holder” this will connect the other part with the screen.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/661.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/659.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/660.jpg
It should work like this ;) It’s possible to adjust the screen, and it’s solid!

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/662.jpg
Now it’s time to think of the last details. Here I’ve milled a slice to make the cables which give the screen power and connect it to the computer, come out.

jegerjon
07-18-2007, 02:56 PM
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/663.jpg
Here’s the electronic which control all the buttons (arrow up, arrow down, menu and power.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/664.jpg
But I want to replace the buttons with those. So I found those and added some nuts.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/665.jpg
Then I drilled holes in the for the buttons.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/666.jpg
Adding them, that’s not bad at all ;)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/667.jpg
And from the backside, ready to soldering ;)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/668.jpg
Then I cut out some small plexi pieces.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/669.jpg
….very small.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/670.jpg
Drilled holes.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/671.jpg
In place, ooh or not. They need to be straight before I’ll glue it :hehe: but else it’s very good.

See you guys in a couple of days, a great update with the finished monitor is waiting ;)

Lets have a update :D

Update 34 – The last details @ Monday the 23rd of July 2007.

Intro
Well, NLM is getting close to finished. Actually I had everything connected today. But while I was installing my OS the harddrive crashed, I checked it, and sadly there was a lot of errors. Bet you guys were right, a harddrive WON’T work after it has been opened. So guys, DON’T do it. I’ll use another 160gb Seagate IDE disk I have laying around. This time I won’t mod it with a window :hehe:

But here I’ll bring you some of the stuff I’ve done today and yesterday.

The funny part

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/686.jpg
First thing I had to do was to fix that ugly back.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/687.jpg
Woila, you won’t see the radiator from now of ;)

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/688.jpg
Then I did some wiring which’s going to power up the harddrive.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/689.jpg
This is how I want it ;) That’s good.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/690.jpg
Next step – painting the backside of the sidepannel. It looks good now.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/691.jpg
http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/692.jpg
Painting the I/O panel, and the PCI-bracked for the GFX.

http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/jegerjon/693.jpg
Here I want to show you the glowwire, which I received from http://www.vibelights.com/ The first time I connected the glowwire, the inverter just blew off, I mailed vibelights and they send me a new. It’s working just fine now ;)

This is the inverter, it’s not huge, and it’s easy to hide in the case.

Then I milled out a slice in the plexi in the back. Then I putted in the glowwire, and it should look just great ;)

- You see this? Omg, not beautiful. Lets do something about it!

After some drawing, cutting, bending, fileing, drilling and painting I got this.

I do only need to get the new harddrive installed and then collect the monster! Which mean that it should be finished tomorrow or Wednesday!
I do really like it, final pictures with all the details etc. etc. will arrive soon ;)

That is some really nice work there, especially inside the case.
I like the look of the monitor, but my only concern would be heat build up. It doesn't look like you put any vent holes in it at all. If you put your hand behind a normal monitor after it's been on for a while you do feel the heat coming off it. Perhaps some small slots in the back panel would help the heat escape and prolong monitor life.

Looks so clean and beuatiful! Fantastic idea with the mesh inside the case, it looks so so so much sexier like that, especially with the holes you cut in the mesh for the watercooling blocks. NICE WORK!

Just one thing, does NLM stand for anything, or mean something? Just wondering....

Edit: jegerjon, I forgot to ask you, what kind of paint did you use to get that brushed look on page 1? It looks amazing and I'd love to know how you did it.

slytherock @ Thank you ;)

Spacehonkey @ Thank you dude. I've been studying if it was possible to make the cables go threw the holder and end op behind the foot. But I wont be able to do it, sadly :(

FrooP @ :D Thank you! I know the feeling hehe

calumc @ I'll take that as a compliment :D thanks.

.Maleficus. @ Thank you. heh yeah, but people had warned me, I should just have listened.

Computer-Geek @ Thank you, yep that was one of the good things about making the cover in mesh, it ain't blocking the airflow ;)

Bucko @ Thanks! I think you're right, but remember that the frame is done in aluminium, which is very good at heat transferring. The monitor ain't going to run 24/7 though, so I hope it won't be a problem, else I have to follow you advise and make some air hole :)

Sting @ Thank you dude :D I'm happy you like it.

eaglepies @ Heh yeah! the mesh was a nice thing to add. And off cause I did holes for the blocks, I wouldn't dream about hiding those nice blocks behind the mesh. Especially the cpu block is awesome, and I want to able to see it any time ;)

.Maleficus. @ I don't think it's the brand of paint which does the job. I've been using 3 different bands of gloss black, and the result has been the same with them all. What I did was to make those straight lines with a 120 grit sand paper. Then I clean the panels for dust, and just add a thick layer of paint. It's easy and it has worked out on ALL of my panels :)

The boy 4rm oz @ Thank you :) You're welcome to use the idea. Just like I've used others ideas somewhere in this case. The best thing about showing off your mods, is to see your ideas getting used again (off cause a little modified :) )

nice mod:D... been thinking about making a refrigirator from one of the little blocks you have there as well since i was showened one at school xD and beacuse i think it would kick ass only connected to a thermaltake tmg2 dual 120mm radiator:D could cool down more than one can:P

like the mod, the coulors and basicly all thats in it,
but wouldnt the waterblocks work better if you made them of cobber (kobber?), and then made som erm... yeah...

AJ@PR @ Thank you :D

Remy @ LOL - I know what you mean about the underwear, but if you'd say that in Danish, it would come out kinda wrong :D
Thank you though, I'll give you all the states I'll be able to :)

P0Pe @ Thank you.
Heh, yeah! - Just go for it :D Off cause the blocks would preform a little more with those rills, but you know what a big job it's? Even though you have a mill, hehe. I only did it on the CPU block because it would be to time consuming to do on all the blocks. I were joining a Danish modding competition, and it has to be looking acceptable in a short time.. Soo that's basicly why I didn't do it.
The cobber wouldn't preform a lot more, but it would give a little bit. Nothing I need in this mod, but in future mods I'll give the cobber a try ;)
What I said about the water was, that in the leak test I pulled the tubing a little out off space, and because of that some water can out. All the blocks are now tested with air, with 4 bars, and they don't leak :P
I'm using distil water. It's not to expensive, and it's working good!

Bucko @ Oh dude! I'm honoured! Thank you, it means a lot to me :O Thank you.

b4i7 @ Thank you dude, You've been following me in thick and thin ;) I would wish that I'd started the log from the beginning on this wonderfully forum!
btw. ROFL ROFL, just read you signature!! That's funny! haha.

About the mod it self: I've been working and working on making the harddrive stuff work. It seems like there's some weird complication between my IDE seagate harddisk, and this motherboard. I don't want to explain it, but short: all my others harddrives work except that. But I can't just use my others, because they are already in use. (omg) so I've just orderer a new very cheap sata harddrive. It'll arrive tomorrow, can't wait :D

as long as you remember to put anti rust thing in it to:P... and what about some coulor? orange coulored water:P... (en god gang frugtfarve sku klare tricket:P)

a tiny thing i wouldnt be able to live with with this mod is only having 1 harddrive:D... im making a mod myself and so far there is spaced for 4:P.. cooled by 2 H2O hdd blocks, think it will be cool:P...

and if you absolutely want a harddrive with a window in it i think western digital have made one ?... its black as far as i remember so it would fit greatly into the mod:D

Well, the colour doesn't matter. My tubing is black, and I won't even see it.

Back to NLM: I've been measuring around with the hardware, and I've been working on getting vista installed. Finally I got it working, but only when my GFX is disconnected (Ati X600) And that's some CRAP! I have no idea why, and I've tried a lot of thing. I don't want to spend any more money on it, so I'm going to use the on-board GFX (x200) that sux, but it's my only way to go right now.
Tomorrow I'll collect everything, but final pictures need to be very shiny and perfect, so they'll first be ready at the weekend.

Until then, be happy :D

Here's the last informations:
The fridge (after about 2 hours): 7 degrees Celsius.

CPU idle: 30 degrees Celsius
CPU load: 50 degrees Celsius
chipset idle: 20 degrees Celsius
chipset load: 30 degrees Celsius

The flow in the case is really good, and the heat from the psu which worried some people aren't a problem, it has been running stable :)
