Hi I'm just about to order my first W/C rig and was just confirming tube sizes.

If I use 1/2" OD fittings on my RAD, RES, CPU Block and GPU Block I need to use 3/8 ID tubing right?

Also that means I can't use a DD D5 can I?

actually, If you order 1/2" OD (Outside Diameter) fittings, then you need to order 1/2" ID (Inside Diameter) tubing. Fittings are measured on the outside, and tubing is measured on the inside. For you clamps you will need to know the OD of the tubing.

That's what I thought but someone told me the 1/2"OD is 3/8" ID.

That could be true for the tubing. - but It all depends on the wall thickness of the tubing. if the ID is 3/8" and the wall thickness is 1/16 then the OD is 1/2", but I have seen some 3/8" ID with a thicker wall thickness of 1/8" so that has an OD of 5/8".

Thanks for your help. Also becasue I can't use a Danger Den D5 with such small tubing (without and adaptor kit) which of these two pumps is better? The Danger Den D4 or the Danger Den Mag II LE?

I know the D4 is a loud pump but the Mag should be more than enough for what I'm using it for.

sorry, can't really help you out there. I'm not familiar with those pumps. :)
