I have come across a no fuss painting and bondo guide for beginners done by atomic magazine. It is slightly Australian focused product wise but it is still a excellent guide.

I'm confused, that article says you can use a cutting compound after lightly sanding the final colour coat, is that correct?

Cutting compound? Rubbing maybe?


Actually, I just read it, and I think they might mean something like this. There's special kinds of compounds that have abrasive beads in them (like liquid sand paper). Perhaps that?

Yeah it is a sandpaper as a paste like insanely high grit.
