Good gaming heaphones?

Any one want to recommend me some good gaming headphones that are comfortable to wear for long stretches of time.

If you have a pair of headphones or earbuds that you like just wear those and loop a headset around your neck, much more comfortable that having a good USB mic with a crappy headset, heck, a week after having them the speakers just up and died on me and I never got 'em replaced, ah well... just giving you a suggestion.

Forgot to mention since it is gaming it needs a mic as well. I figured at the time that since I said gaming that a mic would be a bit of a no brainer.

BTW guys I am in Australia Xoxide and a lot of American companies don't ship here.

All that I have to say is I wouldn't buy headphones with a mic because 90% of the time the mic breaks soon after buying the product. Sennheiser is supposed to be one of the best brands for headphones. Great headphones. Best stuff in the world, 20 bucks to 5000 bucks for headphones. Give them a shot with a local electronics distributor.

Get a separate mic, like jrauck said. It's true. The mic or the headphones will go out and then you're stuck with only a half useful product.

Logitech makes a great mic for ~25US that will do what you need to do and last forever. It can also be mounted to your monitor.

Plantronics makes an AWESOME headest / mic.
I am on 6 years with the same one and no problems yet...

Simon, I have a set of Logitech headphones I bought for $20 at Big W.
They have changeable colours on the sides too.
They've worked great so far.

Ebay is your friend on this one.

I got a pair of sennheiser HD 590s for 40 bucks, originally close to 400 for the pair.

they are the best i have ever worn, and i do just use a stand alone mic.

Normally, headphones with mics attached are gimmicky, the company is uninterested in quality. you might find one or two good brands out of the many.

i definitely would go the quality route with sennheiser or grado.
