Any one want to recommend me some good gaming headphones that are comfortable to wear for long stretches of time.

Cheers

Here (http://www.xoxide.com/headphones.html) are a bunch of comfortable ones!
If it was me . . I'd get the Zalman (http://www.xoxide.com/za51suulgahe.html) 5.1 Surround Folding Headphones.

Bit-tech had a pretty good head to head review of a few popular brands a little while ago. It can be found HERE (http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/2007/05/30/gaming_headset_head_to_head/1)

Good luck and I expect a full review of what ever you get! ;)
(I'm looking for a good set myself)

If you have a pair of headphones or earbuds that you like just wear those and loop a headset around your neck, much more comfortable that having a good USB mic with a crappy headset, heck, a week after having them the speakers just up and died on me and I never got 'em replaced, ah well... just giving you a suggestion.

Thanks for the recommendations guys.

Forgot to mention since it is gaming it needs a mic as well. I figured at the time that since I said gaming that a mic would be a bit of a no brainer.

BTW guys I am in Australia Xoxide and a lot of American companies don't ship here.

What about these headphones (http://www.engadget.com/2007/06/06/ben-hecks-mystery-product-revealed-to-be-audio-fx-pro-5-1-heads/)?

Or these? (http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/akr8/home.aspx)
I'm not sure about shipping but you might be able to find the Turtle Beach ones in a store.

All that I have to say is I wouldn't buy headphones with a mic because 90% of the time the mic breaks soon after buying the product. Sennheiser is supposed to be one of the best brands for headphones. You can find many here HERE (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=50001730&Description=headphone&bop=And&Order=REVIEWS)

Sennheiser.
Great headphones. Best stuff in the world, 20 bucks to 5000 bucks for headphones. Give them a shot with a local electronics distributor.

Get a separate mic, like jrauck said. It's true. The mic or the headphones will go out and then you're stuck with only a half useful product.

Logitech makes a great mic for ~25US that will do what you need to do and last forever. It can also be mounted to your monitor.

Simon, I have a set of Logitech headphones I bought for $20 at Big W.
They have changeable colours on the sides too.
They've worked great so far.

Ebay is your friend on this one.

I got a pair of sennheiser HD 590s for 40 bucks, originally close to 400 for the pair.

they are the best i have ever worn, and i do just use a stand alone mic.

Normally, headphones with mics attached are gimmicky, the company is uninterested in quality. you might find one or two good brands out of the many.

i definitely would go the quality route with sennheiser or grado.

here (http://www.sennheisercommunications.com/comm/icm_eng.nsf/root/products_pc_headsets_pro-gaming) is a link for sennheiser's pro gaming headphones.
Get the model number and go ebay diving.
