Lets say I have to go to this store--what department should I be looking in for a faux modder's mesh?

The only type of mesh Ive ever seen in Home Depot is the type used for housing chickens
. . and the type you use for car bodykits. Its laid out in sheets in the plywood section. Here (http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100384027&N=10000003+90401&marketID=401&locStoreNum=8125)

If you scroll to the bottom you can see the Galvanized netting "mesh" usually in the garden department.

I found some awesome mesh (nearly free also) at the local hardware store back in Topeka (Roach's Hardware). They had many varieties whereas Home Depot and Lowe's had next to nothing. You should check out local shops, air conditioner repair shops, lawn & garden, etc...

Also check out the vents that get put in garage walls. They are also used in crawl spaces. There are also mesh vents for attic spaces too. I am pretty sure you can just purchase the bulk mesh in the same area.
