there is this awesome "stock trading site" by popular science.
what it is--
Welcome to PPX, where people interested in science and technology compete against each other in predicting the future. As with the stock market, you'll buy and sell stocks, funds and warrants on future events, building a portfolio rich with virtual cash.
But it's not just a game: the real value of an online predictive market like this is that as more and more people play, the predictions being made become more and more accurate. The stock price for each yes/no prediction is based on a scale from POP$0 to POP$100. So if the stock is trading for POP$60, that means that the traders on the market believe that the prediction has a 60 percent chance of coming true in the real world. this is really interesting polling method, and i thought that it was right up our alley, so yeah.
it funny how the chance that the PS3 will win the console wars is 38%, and the chance that google will over run yahoo is 94.75%.
