Just saw this on newegg:

Must have come out overnight or something... DDR3?!?

Jeebus. I just bought DDR2 667 a couple months ago. DDR3 1333, gimme a break.

Timings are sky-high, reaching 9-9-9-24...

EDIT:

Here's a motherboard that runs it...

DDR3 memory and 45nm processors, pretty exciting stuff! Even if your not going to buy (afford) a board that is DDR3 and 45nm compatible, its still good news because the price for DDR2 and 65nm products should go down. hopefully.

The future looks pretty awesome if you ask me. I can't wait to see what else they come out with! Maybe Super SATA Hard Drives doing 12GB/s at 5 Terabyte capacity with the new form factor size of a microSD card? lol oh no, it gets better! and they only cost FIVE DOLLARS! rofl

our kids are going to be looking back on us and saying "damn, technology sucked back then" as they fly away on their Hover Boards (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hover_board) and ipod size super computers capable of octo-core processors, DDR6 memory and video graphics that can beat a quad sli setup of 8800GTX's. oh and they have wireless that can do a bazillion bytes every quarter of a second. ...okay, that last one was just unrealistic. lol

Now I feel like my PC is outdated. It prolly is, but this makes me wanna hit the fast forward button to the future... ah well, I'll undoubtedly get a good one later on.

Holy bleepy bleep batman!! The RAM costs almost 2x as much as the board. *Falls out of chair looking again*
Man I don't think I'll be buying guts for my NES pc until around XMas (bonus time  .) so whats everything going to look like then.

Every time I see stuff like this come out I'm reminded of Back to the Future 2 when the 2 kids power on that shooting game in the cafe. They can't figure it out then Marty shows them how to shoot and they are like, "You have to use your hands, what a kiddy game." lol. The look on his face cracks me up. Me the first think to do would have been find out what is not a "kiddy" game in the future.
