Yeah!!
I don't know if I should be posting this here, but I finally got a promotion in my company to General Manager. That means I get to run my own store!!! woohoo!! As you can probably tell I'm extremely happy. More details when I have them, but it means a move for me and I'm having issues finding high speed internet w/ phone and cable in the town I need to move to.

Well you could look into getting satellite internet.
As cheap as 49.95/Month 1.5mbps

I went to business school for 6 years. Also one of my best friends is a general manager for a posh restaurant in Atlanta. The fact is, it doesn't matter what restaurant it is, restaurant management is one of the hardest jobs out there.
There is absolutely no way that anyone that knows what they are talking about would bust on that.
Congrats.

I have to agree with Commando here. Anyone that thinks being the GM of a Wendy's consists of a guy in a smock behind the counter, is sadly mistaken. Franchises like that take a lot of know how, and hard work to make sure things run within the parameters set by HQ! Congratulations and GOOD LUCK!!!

Oh come on a Wendy's in Cheyenne, how many customers could you have in a day... 7?
Heheh Just kidding. Running a fast food joint is tough work. I watched my little brother run a Little Caesar's for about 5 years. He aged 10 in that time frame. It changed him so much he became a deacon. Hehe put the fear of god in him...
Congrats on the promotion!
Oh and I bag on Cheyenne because I was raised just south in Colorado and we used to go to Cheyenne to raise hell for the weekends. At that time there was nothing there but horses and cattle with very few people. Got snowed in one year up there and a rancher and his wife took all 4 of us in for 3 days. Great people!

Just got back into town from Scottsbluff, NE. Nice area right next to Gering. Store seems nice and so does the community. Found a place to live in about 2 hours while there so thats out of the way. Plus my wife go more information about transferring to the local Wal*Mart so both our jobs are set just waiting for more info to come in about when we need to be moving up that way.

Congrats! It's always exciting to move somewhere new, and when the job security is there, that just makes it that much sweeter. :)
