Facts:

20Q is a neural network-based artificial intelligence.
20Q's opinions are based on games it has played. We do not program the knowledge, nor would we want too.
You can teach the game the correct answers by playing the same, and similar, objects several times in a row.
Contradictions with the 20Q A.I. are not bad, they indicate that different people have different views; 20Q will often guess correctly, even with several contradictions.

wow its almost impossible to stump it with singers/songwriters..it guessed Robert Plant in 20 and Billy Idol in 25..cool!

That thing is possessed!! We found it a couple of years ago. My wife worked for hours to stump the thing, and was amazed at how it accurate it was. I think the most impressive one was a SNOWGLOBE!

My IPT class had to do a programming assessment in yr 9 based on that game. It was heaps of fun! I was trying to get it to guess a starfish or something random, it came up with uterus...

Maybe it's developed a bit more since then =P
