View Full Version : Confused Vista x64 or XP x64

my computer has the following spec:

4gb ram
1 terabyte hard drive (500gb each)
512mb graphics card
6000+ amd processor
Fatal1ty an9 32x

i am currently running windows xp x64 version but would like your advice on weather i should or should not install

vista buisness x64
or leave it to my current state

what i am looking for is performance pc.

also i have fingerprint reader from MS and it doesnt work on my x64 version of xp any ways to make it work?

I've not tried the released version of Vista, only tried the first Beta and it was full of bugs. I've heard that It still have a couple them, but considering your rig...
XP is very cpu hungry, and Vista is Ram hungry, I'll say give it a try. For my part I'll wait till the firt service pack come out

okay i installed vista x64 edition and its okay i think prefer xp but thats not a problem as when i boot my pc up it gives me an option of weather i wanna run vista or windows xp. so i hve to operating system choices in the start. cool.

Another problem is i keep getting blue screen errors on my vista and xp..

sometime is says win32.sys/not less or equal/afd.sys and at the bottom is says something about dumping

why does this happen?

since you have 512MB of memory your best bet is with XP.

I HAVE 4GB MEMORY, my graphic card has 512mb can this be an issue?

OHHHH! ooops nvm, you would have no problemo with vista, but i still would want to have a copy of XP around.
