Amplifier ;)

Try and find a 30 watt or something. Use the signal wires from the alarm clock speaker into the amp, then from amp to sub. Then see if you can wire the amp inline with the alarm clock.

Good luck. ;)

if you have a good electonrics shop near you you should bild this (http://tangentsoft.net/audio/cmoy-tutorial/) you could integrade it into the clock and run it from that. i'm not sure how your going to mount it into the alarm clock but have you thought of a finberglass style?i was thinking something like this
http://www.tccustomsaudio.com/gallery/triple12.jpg

but with 1 speaker. and mount it to the top of the clock. or you could even make an entire shell for the clock. if i had the money for some resin and all the stuff needed i would try it out on my alarm clock too. it doesn't get me up.

that was my attempt at building a cmoy amp, it didn't work becuase i couldn't get the proper amp chip and resistors. you can buy them off ebay though

prebuilt amps (http://search.ebay.com/cmoy_W0QQ_trksidZm37QQfromZR40)

i think if i send a wire from a powersupply to the speaker. adn see if it gives a lil more umph to it :P

^^ i agree, while a computer sounds system would be better and easyer what your doing is overall better i would say.

Probably won't work, you need the right kind of oomph. You'll either mess up the speaker or mess up the power cord or something even more important. :dead:

Or wake up... from the sound of a fire-truck's sirens.

Yeah, Firetruck sirens aren't as exciting as you'd think. I remember waking up one morning then a few minutes later (I hadn't even stepped out of bed) hearing sirens and firebells. I was less "Woohoo!" and more "********uck************ gotta get outta here"
