I'm currently in the process of planning on building a SFF for myself when I get back home, as I'm currently away, and I was wondering if anyone knew good vid cards for an SFF.

I was thinking of using the Apevia X-QPACK2-AL MicroATX case, and the Asus A8V-VM mobo.

Any good suggestions?

Whats your price range for the card?

btw, here is a review for the X-QPack (http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2006/12/12/Apevia_X_Qpack/1). It _looks_ like you can fit pretty much anything but some of the newer cards that are ridiculously long, like the 8800 series. So... I guess you really don't have a size issue?

To be honest, I have a steady job, so I'd be able to dedicate almost any amount of money to the computer, I'll take a look at the full review and see if it tells me any pertinent information though.

Thanks.

I bet this 8600 card will fit. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130084) (It supports DirectX 10 too: pretty future-proof)

I'm not sure if you wanted to use parts you already have so here are two suggestions on motherboards:
ASUS (Intel) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131043)
ASUS (AMD) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131014)

The one you posted had a DDR 400 memory standard while these have DDR2 800 memory standard.

I really like that case you chose too.

Same deal except a little cheaper and you get a free little 128mb zip drive.

As for the two new mobos, I'll take a look at both of them and make decisions later, and thanks for the compliment on the case!

As for the deal on the case, I'm not worried about the 128mb stick, and the 4dollars would be lost in that, when I order everything at once from Newegg, shipping will be free, so in the end, it'll be better to order it all at once from Newegg. Thanks for looking out for me though.

If anyone has any known or preferred brands I'm always open to comments, I've been looking mainly at OCZ, Crucial, Mushkin or Corsair.

All comments, suggestions and tips appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
