I'm going to be watercooling my 8800GTX and was just wondering if I could use any Danger Den blocks appart from their 8800GTX block. Due to it being extremely over priced I am looking for a cheeper alternative. In the Danger Den forums I read of someone watercooling a GTS with a MAZE 4 GPU block, will this work for a GTX? I'm looking for something to pretty much just cool the GPU and I'll get copper RAM sinks for the RAM.

I sent Danger Den an Email and they said they they don't supply mounting brackets for the MAZE 4 to be used on a 8800GTX but you can make your own. They also sent me some pics of someone doing it in a tutorial.

I think I might just go with Swiftech MCW-60. It's a lot cheeper than the Danger Den block at only $99.00 AUS with RAM sinks ($130.00AUS difference). According to this review (http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=getarticle&articID=554) On a GTS this block out preformes a Danger Den GTS block. Power for price? I think so.

well if you don't want to pay 150 for it but still want a full block you can get a Swiftech stealth, like i am.

EDIT: there is a link (http://www.swiftnets.com/products/stealth.asp), sorry i shoulda posted it before.

Just had a look at the stealth. That is a great block but because of lack of availiability in Australia I'll have to take what I can get and buy the MCW-60.

ahhh, yes i hate when things aren't available in canada, i don't even want to think about Australia. i've heard that you don't get a whole lot up there or if you do its late.

And more expensive. $359 for my E6600, $495 for my 8800GTS for example...

I got my E6600 for $298.00 and my ASUS 8800GTX for $845.00. Try www.msy.com.au they are really good or because your from NSW look at www.itestate.com.au, cheepest prices in Australia i recon.

Yeah we don't get a lot down here and because i'm from South Australia it's even worse. We have got only one Danger Den reseller and that's all the way up in Queensland. Postage is a bitch haha.
