Ok, here I am with a Coolermaster CMStacker thats just begging for modding. So I have an idea or three. I already painted it and tossed in a window or two. But I have a couple ideas. I'll share another time. Here's my question.
What 120mm fans do ya'll recommend? I need 4 120mm fans. 2 for the radiator, 1 for HDD cage, and 1 case fan. I'm not a stickler for loudness, but I'd like to keep it under 25db per fan.
Also, what kind? Turbine? 120mm x 25mm or 38mm?
Are the premade filters worth it? I have 3 cats, so I'm thinking so, but I dunno. I might just go with a custom mesh. eh, we'll see.
What about those fan silencers? Anybody try them yet?
Any inputs would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

if you have cats you totaly want some way to clean the filters. if they shed alot it will clog those intakes up faster then Rosanne bar can eat a cup cake. preferably you may want something that you can easly remove from your machine to clean / wash / whatever.

well if you want some insane airflow, 220CFM, and don't mind almost 59DBs then go with these (http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=49&products_id=20848) there is even a video of the fan.
or you can go with these (http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=49&products_id=477) like i will be for my rad. they have 103CFM at 41dbs.
do you have your computer on the ground? if you do then you can buy a premade filter or make your own with some furnace filters

Here is a list of quiet fans that are recommended by SilentPCReview:

The Scythe S-Flex SFF21E might fit your needs the best.
You can mix and match of course. Like put a lower RPM/dba fan to cool the hard drives if yours don't get too hot.

Cannibal23 - You're right. I need to be able to clean the filters and/or replace them around once a month if not more. Methinks I should just go with one for the intake on the HDD cage.

Spawn-Inc, those look AWESOME! But, they're are way too loud. a 35 db fan drives me nuts. Maybe I am a stickler for noise. Eh. Either way, they look good.

Silenced_Coyote - Thanks for the link. Since I am trying to keep my 6 PCs quiet, I'm thinking those Kama Flows are the way to go. I'm diggin them, plus I can crank them up past 1000 RPM if needed.
Thanks for the responses peoples. I've kept a crappy worklog till about a week ago, but I'll post it when its all said and done. Mostly because I'm impatient about wanting to DO all of it. But I am keeping a log. I'll post it then. Thanks!
