nice, simple design, make sure you plan it all out before you start hacking though. those stickers'll be a pain to remove..

Looks like a good case. 5 case fans? I hope it' doesn't sound like a vacuum cleaner when you get done.

haha i changed my mind. just 2 120mm's on the front and one in the back. and the CPU cooler :]

Make sure whatever motherboard you get will fit that case. With only 4 expansion slots, it won't take a full length Mobo, it will have to be the smaller boards.

peoplefire

^ yea a mini ATX board :]
i have my wish list already

peoplefire

Well since i learned a little more in SketchUp i redid my design :]

http://img47.imageshack.us/img47/4526/design1pz4.jpg
CD/DVD burner will be hidden inside the front slide door where the USB's used to be.
2x 120mm fans in the front
1x 80-90mm fan in the back
-all fans will glow blue or orange-

what do you guys think?

Looks like it will be a fairly neat case when it's done.

heres the progress from today.

masking tape is cheaper than a new front
http://img236.imageshack.us/img236/815/69085603wp2.jpg

i grinded off those annoying rivets and ima replace them all with screws for a case that you can tear down completely.
http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/9738/26816292ap4.jpg

had to cut away some of the structure to make space for the fans to blow there air through.
http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/3677/89307102zt3.jpg

started to work on the front panel
http://img249.imageshack.us/img249/3354/50230745cn9.jpg

im off to look for epoxy or fiberglass. hope you enjoy the progress

i did sorta finish the front, but it now needs fiberglass/bondo.
and now i need some plexiglass to make the fan mounts for behind the face plate

keep checking back :]

looking good. im also starting a mod on this case. i like your idea

b4i7
06-22-2007, 04:22 PM
you could use a piece of L bar aluminum and just dremel out along where the fan is...then just mount it to your drive bays

lorddarkwolf
06-22-2007, 04:32 PM
you could make a bracket out of plexi. then light it up!!!

b4i7
06-22-2007, 04:39 PM
if the bracket is behind...you wont see it :)

peoplefire
06-22-2007, 08:48 PM

whatd u you use to cut the metal? casing/frame

peoplefire
06-23-2007, 10:43 PM
i use a dremel on EVERYTHING. its the most awesome super adaptive tool ever. just use the reinforced cutting wheels.

idylan123
06-23-2007, 10:46 PM
kk. i have a dremel but the cutting wheels i have suck. so im gunna have to get a set for metal.

peoplefire
06-23-2007, 10:47 PM

idylan123
06-23-2007, 10:52 PM

Needs some power and reset buttons I think ;).

Doing any front connectors?

Anyways, peoplefire, this is looking pretty good! You had some pretty nice cuts there. I personally _hate_ cutting plastic with my Dremel because I honestly suck very bad at it. Jigsaw all the way.

peoplefire
06-24-2007, 11:35 PM
ummm whats front connectors?

and i have my power button planned out :P

idylan123
