games and widescreen monitors

Hi all. Many of you may remember me from threads such as "tips and tricks for working with plex" or the more recent "man vs nature". I thought it might be a good idea to start some kind of thread here for people who use wide screen lcd's or tv's for games so we can discuss issues that come up. maybe links to good resorces or tips and work arrounds.

If you are talking about getting non-widescreen compatible games to play in widescreen then this (http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page)is the site you are looking for. It has lists of compatible games, incompatible games w/ workarounds, compatible screens and the (kinda useless) compatible graphics cards. I've used that site for every one of my unsupported games. It has everything except for the really old stuff (Dark Forces II) and/or the really uneditable stuff (Diablo II/Starcraft).
