I'm going to be getting a LCD monitor soon (My 19" CRT is too fat and puts out waaaay too much heat. Plus it isnt even mine :X) The two that I am looking at are the LG L1720P (Link (http://www.lge.com/catalog/prodmodeldetail?actType=search&page=2&modelCategoryId=CTG1000499&categoryId=CTG1000496&parentId=CTG1000439&modelPrefix=40IL17&globalCode=L1720PL&globalSuffix=000000&unit=NOTHING&model=32)) and the Samsung 730B (Link (http://product.samsung.com/cgi-bin/nabc/product/b2c_product_detail.jsp?eUser=&prod_id=BI17BSSB)). If anybody here has any experience with either of them tell me the pro's and con's please.

When buying my LCD monitor I made sure to see every single one in person to see the differences in quality, brightness, contrast and resolution etc ...

What a coincidence; I own the LG L1720P and it is a great monitor. I notice no ghosting wen playing my favorite PC games including FPS like Doom 3! It's truly a great monitor that not only does it's job, but looks great while doing it.

I would go with the LG. But I havn't heard anything bad about the Samsung, but being an owner of the LG, I may be a little partial to it :p

I think that I'm going to go with this monitor.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824179014

It was THG's reference monitor for gaming untill the new Samsung 191b (I think) came out, but that costs like $500.

It's a little more then I was looking for, but it is a 19" monitor that has many, many good reviews on it (300 on newegg!)
