Ive got a Pentium4 fan, and my notebook runs pretty hot so I was planning to build a notebook cooler using acrylic and a 60mm fan, could I hook the 12v fan on a USB jack and make it work? Or it would fry everything?
And would acrylic start to bend or difform or have strange effects under heavy constant heat? (the RAM sticks, when hot, are really burning... I suspect them to get somewhere around 50-70C!) because I want to use acrylic to paint it a carbon fiber look, since my notebook is an ASUS G1, and painted in a carbon fiber style.
Last, if I force some air out from the exhaust grill, would it force the internal CPU fan? I dont plan to place the 60mm direcly in front of it, but maybe try to channel some hot air out from it to help the exhaust.
