Will this work to turn on my HTPC from across the room? If I wire the wires into the Power switch wires?

You going to have to Elaborate a bit more. .
So you have a remote for your HTPC and it doesn't have a Power button?

. . .Or are you trying to run wires across the room?

If you look into some tutorials, you can use a wireless doorbell kit to turn on your pc with a remote; wirelessly.

Im thinking I can just wire it into the power button. But That can only happen is it is a momentary switch right?

Ahh, that makes more sense. The power switch must be momentary like you stated, but I imagine that it is since that is what the product is designed for.
