Trust me, I've been googling, and I'm not coming up with much. Can someone help me with specs on a Ford 8.8 rear axle?

Max HP it can withstand stock
what spline axles it has
4-link setups
etc.

Well the Mustang axles are different from the trucks. Maybe I should of specified 8.8 Mustang rear ends.

Then why would you post this question on a computer modding forum? Maybe you could try a mustang forum. :)

It's off-topic, and I asked two questions before on a mustang forum; both times I got wrong answers. I'd rather get my info from a website source.

We've got the spline already, 28.

Max HP... I think experience would speak best.
I'm going to ask some of my neighborghs to see if they have any idea..

As to 4-links... You want "links" (net) for the 4-link setup?
Or just general info?
Links for the links! LoL

Links for the links! LoL

Kinda ironic, eh? ;)

There's all kinds of custom 4-link setups with 8.8 axles, but I haven't found kits yet to do it, like bolt-in kits. And how much it would be; that kind of 4-link info.

And I have about 450-500 HP, and I need to know what in the axle I should upgrade before I add slicks. If the differential is weak, launching with slicks will shatter it. So if that's the case I'll buy a Detroit Locker or an Eaton Posi.

Just little information that could make the difference between making it or breaking it, that's all.

:? I wasn't talking you down at all nor saying you weren't a help. You did help me; I now know they're 28 spline axles in my car.

Yes yes... rendermanDan, please don't take my 'warm and fuzzy' comment badly.

Just.... I don't know.... punching jokes around. :)

And, as Mitt said, you *did* help man. :)
