help? I don't have a floppy drive so this is my only option

You probably have the option of live update in windows, ASUS for example lets you download the BIOS updates straight from the site and install them in windows. I forget which motherboard you have.

Here (http://support.asus.com/technicaldocuments/technicaldocuments_content.aspx?no=714) you go, install ASUS Update (should be on your driver disk for the motherboard) and download the correct BIOS file to desktop. Launch AU and select update bios from file, choose the file you downloaded and reboot.

I have a EVGA board though. I went to evga and it gave me 2 options: floppy and cd.

any ideas?

I looked in another thread and saw ASUS, just assumed that was the board. You don't have a floppy drive in another computer you can swap out?

Exactly which board do you have?

Go to the EVGA website, find the BIOS page for your board, and scroll all the way down. There is an option called "Windows Installation - alternate installation method".

That was my fault about not specifying my board but i figured the problem was more because of the disk itself or the boot sequence. I ended up going with this board (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813188013) and love it.
