I'm thinking of doing an industial theme inside my HUGE case. I've allready figured out how to use 1/4" stainless tubing for conduit to my fans. I want to know if it is possible or has it been done, to hard pipe the water cooling system. thx in advance.

I am gonna start a work log as soon as I reduce all my pictures reduced in size and have a solid plan.

I have not seen anyone use "hard pipe" for water cooling, but that is not to say it hasn't been done. In my opinion, there are too many disadvantages to using rigid pipe. Most any type of metal piping will likely cause reactions and corrosion with the metals in the blocks, I guess if you used copper pipe and copper bloacks it might work. You could circumvent this if you ran tygon tubing within the pipes I suppose. The biggest disadvantage in my mind is that they are completely inflexible and routing the lines through the case would be a nightmare.

If I use anything it will be stainless. Routing well I'm prepared for that. are the connectors into the waterblocks pipethread or some odd ball proprietary thing.

plus I get the wow factor of "Is that rigid pipe" and I can buff em to a nice shine :P

I believe you can use typical pipe threading according to size for blocks and such, but you should verify this with someone else. I don't know how true it is, but I have heard that using copper blocks with steel components is bad, the metals apparently react through the water to cause corrosion. I am not certain if this is myth or fact, but it is something you should investigate.

yea there is a reaction between steel and copper but stainless(depending on the quality) doesn't have that problem.

Well, if you used wide enough elbows and large enough pipe, you could run tygon through the pipes and solve alot of issues.

And you get the incredible joy of thinking "OH WTF HAVE I DONE" when you need to upgrade something loooooool :bunny:
