Well yeah, being only 15 and not having access to a range of tools, nor a budget of over $40AUD, I thought it'd be nice to do up an old P3 given to me by my grandmother.
So anyway, here's what I got...

As you can see, it's nothing nice... I'm not even sure the mobo is ATX, and the power supply (200W haha) is a really weird shape.
So I gutted it...
http://pointofseverity.com/images/DSC02450.jpg
Sanded and painted it...
http://pointofseverity.com/images/DSC02461.jpg
Then stenciled a nice few flames on the front...
http://pointofseverity.com/images/DSC02468.jpg
Then the side...
http://pointofseverity.com/images/DSC02486.jpg
Then did another little stencil...
http://pointofseverity.com/images/DSC02492.jpg
And this is where I'm at so far...
http://pointofseverity.com/images/DSC02493.jpg
Next I'm going to put flames on the other side too, and perhaps buy a dremel and cut myself a nice window. We shall see.
I know it's nothing special, and is nothing compared to some of the amazing stuff we see here, but tell me what you think. :D

I really like the dripping effect on the skull. Was that part of the stencil or did you do it seperately?

The dripping effects was actually cut into the stencil, yes. :P

Wow! That's a mad idea! I'm certainly doing that. Thanks. :D

That looks pretty good for your first time!
Well done!
+rep and welcome aboard. We all have to start somewhere man. IMO, for a first paint job, that's really good. I'll agree with calumc about the green cathodes.. it would really set that case off! The only suggestion I could really give is to improve a little on the stencils. There is a little overspray. There's a really good stencil guide in the tips, tricks, and tutorials section. Have a look. http://www.thebestcasescenario.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8334
Thanks for sharing it with us.

Heh, thanks man. :) And yeh, it took me until half way through the skull to realise that when I hold the can on a 45 degree angle to the stencil, pointing under the paper, it was going to overspray. Haha.
As for LEDs, I think I'm going to grab two green ones, drill a hole in both the eyes and stick the LEDs in. The thing is about the power etc... I'm not sure how to connect LEDs to the motherboard. From what I know know I could just rig them to a nine volt battery and stick it on the side of the case, or I could swap the current Power LED (there is no hard drive LED -.-) for the two.
Can anyone help me with that? Or perhaps you can buy LED (+ - connection) to Molex. That'd be good.

Funny thing is, that I have the exact Gateway tower. Nice paint job so far. +rep

leds can be wired into the 5 or 12v lines on the molex, there are tutorials on the forums somewhere.
But you just got me thinkin wen u mentioned the hdd light, if you don't mind a little bit of soldering you can use a chip to wire them into the hdd curcuit and they would be on with hdd activity. Now how cool would that be?
I saw a thread on doing it recently but i really dont feel like looking for it now.

I'm really digging the dripping skull .
The dripping effects was actually cut into the stencil, yes. :P
Did you make the stencil or did you get it from somewhere? If at all possible I would like a copy of the stencil for future use. If that's OK with you?
You're welcome Atomic. I know you said the computer doesn't have a HDD activity light right now.. is it not there or is it just not working? I think 2 green LED's acting as eyes powered by the HDD activity lead would be awesome for your mod.

Mmmk, Stencil is here: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/52562334/
Hmm, yeah I think it does have a working HDD light, and I think I know how to hook it up so that the eyes become the HDD lights. So anyway, I went out and bought four LEDs. Two 12v green ones and two 220v green ones. The 12v ones seem fine when hooked up to a molex/9v battery, though the 220v ones don't seem to work hooked up with anything... Maybe nothing yet is outputting enough energy to light them?
Here they are...
http://pointofseverity.com/images/DSC02509.jpg
So anyway I took the faceplate off, and checked out the way the power LED etc. works...
http://pointofseverity.com/images/DSC02511.jpg
Unplugged the HDD LED...

Plugged in mine...
