Whats the best DSLR Camera I can get around $650 I don't want to spend much as I don't have the money and also that im just starting photography. Im sure most of you guys know a hell of a lot more about cameras than I do...

well what ever you go with go with a nikon for sure. this (http://www.nikon.ca/en/Product.aspx?m=17040) is the only slr in that price range from them. my dad has 2 old nikon 35mm's and they take really nice pictures. most of the pros, if not all, that i've seen use nikon.

I have the Nikon D40, have it right here next to me actually. I can say it is definately a good buy.

I've got the Nikon D200, but that is not in your price range.... and I'm VERY happy with the quality that it has...

I suggest waiting a little and holding out for a better camera. Your SLR will be something that you want to have for a very long time, and you want it to be of quality.

Well I would have to wait about 6 months which would be too long since im only going to be in NY for probably a year. I am supposed to get a new job and depending on how much I make ill decide how much I can spend but anyways im just looking at the price rang I have in mind for now.
