Some of you might remember I posted this picture a while ago.

As you can see, my beautiful paint job was ruined. I think it was because there was too much paint and too much clear coat on that side, so the clear coat got underneath the paint, and made it bubble up.

Since that was unacceptable for a cool calculator like mine, I decided to start over. I sanded all the paint of (with the help of a belt sander), and tried again. It happened again this time, but not as much. I can just tell people that it was on purpose.

Pretty cool, huh? Now I have the coolest TI-83 in my school!

very cool indeed.

But why is that a case for a TI-84 if its only a TI-83?;)

Right you are, my mistake. It is a TI-84, but the lame black kind with no memory. Well, now its not lame!

I've had that kinda thing happen to me.
I painted the buttons on another mouse to look like red glass, then tried to clear coat them. And they bubbled up and crackled, so now they're textured. :D

Does clear coat / clear lacquer have something against some paints?

I had a ti-90 something and it got stolen in physics (damn I hate thieves). Thing was like 180 bucks at the time. I got a ti-89 now though and I think I'll be doing a similar job :)
